You need to draw the envelope.

But you can also use the autofilter sidechaining to get some filter action going.

Try to spend a bit more on your soundcard/interface it's going to be important to the quality of your sound.

You need something with at least 2 stereo outs to allow you to use the cue function in Live with headphones for DJing.

If you're not looking you won't find them.

You can create many cool effects for guitar witgh Live's effects but for amp sim and the like most people use a 3rd party plug like Guitar Rig, Amplitube or some of the Line 6 or Pod gear.

All down to your own workflow.

i record in, but I use the drag to and from session/arrange for changing clips and dragging them back to session or inserting other things into the arranegment after I've recorded it etc.

Not sure about the ramirez vids (good vids though) but aren't all the others just Future Music mag DVD rips? It's very cheap to subscribe and you get one of these masterclass vids every week. nice to see how they work. recent ones for Freestylers and Freemasons. The Angello ones are good and I enjoy...

That's called growing up Angstrom! :D

I was the same but actually it started to disagree with me too, i just found the whole thing really unpleasant almost overnight. Then it was easy to knock it all on the head.

Lives new compressor allows you to select the audio from, so you can have as many instances of the compressor as you like with the sidechain being fed from the same kick drum source. Plus, it doesn't mute your original kick track either so, you only need one and you dont' have to duplicate it at all...

You are right. I have to say I find myself in a predicament, I abhor the danger of alcohol and nicotine and I am a hypocrite as I have or do use some or all of them throughout my life. But equally I am dead against the nanny state mentality that erodes peoples free will to do whatever the hell they ...

A big +43 from me for what these guys are saying. Although I tend to record an arrangement into arrange view and then tinker from there. regarding your limiiter again +1001 as above, leave it until you're happy with your mixdown anyway, if you need to boost overall volume after that then some light ...

I do as per your first method. Clip up in session view and start setting some scenes. the nice thing about that is you can drop clips in and out and then select and insert the scene as a new scene when you like what you're hearing so you hear the build ups and the like. Then record an arrangement, t...

I include them to a degree but of course the main difference is social acceptance and legality.

There isn't anything I can do about that. but if i could i would certainly ban nicotine. Without doubt the most dangerous drug known to man.
