Re: Catanya - new powerful arpeggiator MIDI Plugin

Has anyone heard of any updates recently for this - namely a mac version? For something that seems pretty popular, it'd be ashame if the developer has abandoned it. Similar situation with Sylenth. Nope, nothing. I do wonder if all development just ceased on it. It is too bad/weird, because it reall...

Re: Waves PlugIns in Live 9

Did you re-authorize all of the plugins? I'm not positive you have to, but I know I went ahead and deleted them and re-installed/authorized them when I set up Live 9 because I assumed that one might need to do that....using their world-worst authorization system that I hate. That's my only idea. My ...

Re: Volume - Getting the final mix as loud as other music I hear

Try throwing the built in audio effect rack preset called "full chain master" on your master track Wow, I feel dumb. I've played around with some of rack presets and they were quite cool/convenient actually, but I've never tried out the Full Chain Master. This is actually perfect and mirrors pretty...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOr4Bxk-ctc Not much to see here but it's the "first track released into the wild using Bitwig Studio beta." So as you can see... it can at least play audio files and warp them :P I have no issue with using multiple DAWs. It keeps things interesting, breaks me of habi...

Re: Anyone here making metal music with Live?

Yeah, I totally do: https://soundcloud.com/user646823035 Some of those snippets are things my friend and I play around with, in terms of metal + electronic music. Others of those snippets are regular awesome metal. I've owned Live for 1.5 years now, and I'm still blown away by how Ableton lends its...

Re: Controlling arp with real time melodic input

Well, the workaround would of course be to create a second track with what you want held, while the other track contains the other notes. But I realize that you're not asking for a workaround, but a way to do this in one track, which is a good question. I don't know of any M4L device that does this,...

Re: Who is actually happy with the direction Ableton is going?

I'm fine with the direction Ableton is moving, yes. It's still the best DAW out there for me from a songwriting perspective. I will admit I am no master masterer, so if there's weakness in terms of any late-stage fine tweaking and mastering, then it will be unnoticed by me. But yeah, as for songwrit...

EDIT: Obviously I'm not saying that anyone who doesn't LOVE Ableton is childish, but I'm speaking more of the simpli.cissimus ' of the world here. ...and that Edit is just a proof that the way you mentioned me shows that you're the one who's childish ! Had the impression to read a Kardashian tweet....

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...

Just to put in my two centavos, I look forward to Bitwig. As well, I'm also a huge Ableton fan and have bought Live 8 and Live 9 Suite. I think people calling Ableton crap are idiots. They're honestly the Ableton forum equivalent of online news article commenters who, for most every negative news ar...

Re: Vocals or instruments first?

I think writing the instrumental part first is easier, but it's not the only way. Coming up with the musical passages to go behind the already-created lyrics is done all the time, and has been for ages. Actually, both ways have been done for ages. Now, to try and combine a completely independently c...

Ok, I've been messing around with this for a little bit and dude, thank you for making this free for people. I'm sure there are quite a few people who would pay for this. It sounds great and functions perfectly!

Weird, I've used it a ton without crashes (also M4L stuff in general). Do you have the most current M4L stuff downloaded/installed?

Re: Any way to collaborate with my friend (Live 8 to Live 9)?

It's the same with pretty much all software. Not software where collaboration between multiple parties is expected. Though as I said, maybe that's the case with DAW software, but I was just wondering. But seriously, my friend and I being able to collaborate via email was one of THE reasons he ended...
