Re: Changing Settings on Scenes

An example of what I'm trying to do is: I have a song with 8 scenes, and I want it to play through the first 3 scenes right in order, then start looping the 4th scene. When I'm ready to move on, I hit enter to launch into scene 5, then have it go automatically through scenes 5 and 6, then loop agai...

Re: Basic question (from someone who doesn't have M4L)

Would be great if they would implement a kind of "scene-clip" which allows patternsequencing, and which also would allow something like follow actions on scenes. Totally. I was surprised to find that I there was no corresponding follow actions for Scenes in Live. It would make sequencing a Live set...

Hello,

We stopped with 8.1.3 and hopefully for ever until the next major version. Did you experience otherwise?

Regards,
Amaury
Excellent  Thank you, I appreciate it.

Re: Current Beta Version: Live 8.1.5b2 (updated July 22, 2010)

Hi, Live 8.1.5b2 appears to have cured the persistent crashing problem that first manifested on my both my Win XP32 systems when I installed 8.1.4 I went from 8.1 straight to 8.1.4. I had stuck with 8.1 because it was stable - that'll teach me! I didn't realize sets created in 8.1.4 would not load i...

2. Uses a serial number - No dongle (a dongle is a deal breaker for me) Fortunately, IK switched from dongles to challenge/response activation a few years back Did they? Thanks for the info. I'm glad 1k wised up. They just won a potential customer. I'll actually look at their products now... Dongle...

lolalola,
there's a good review here on the TC Konnect 6 box:

If I was shopping for a new interface at around that price, and I didn't mind Firewire, I'd be looking at the Konnect...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions

Hi,
did anyone figure out a way to limit the faders to 0db inside Live when using the APC40?

A python script mod perhaps?

I have the NativeKontrol product that does this via a MT runtime, but I wanted to dispense with this if possible.

Re: Dr Funkenstein - Live Looping

^^^my reference point is always the 'grid banks' (hold down 'session' button)... ...this way... I handle everything in banks of 8...(tracks/scenes) so you can have your first 8 tracks for looping and the next 8 for other stuff.. as long as you use the 'grid banks' on the LP to navigate instead of t...

Re: Anyone recommend a good Audio Interface for around £150-£200

p.s that TC box looks fabulous and has some great features - reverb for monitoring, illuminated volume knob, good metering etc. Shame it only has a 1 x stereo out You can set it so that the headphone output is on channel 3/4, so you can use it for DJing if you wanted. Chris Ah, so channel 3/4 is an...

Re: Dr Funkenstein - Live Looping

Hi Guys, thanks for your input. Or could you just zig zag two tracks with opposite and alternating stop buttons removed? @Lazos, That could work, but would involve me having to think too much. I'm trying to set it up to be as idiot-proof as possible (which is actually a requirement in my c...

Re: Dr Funkenstein - Live Looping

In fact the midi control is still a work in progress. There's a few things I'd like to do in my setup that I haven't figured out a solution for. Hmm, I'm stiil attempting to come up with a good solution for a problem with recording clips on the fly and I'd appreciate some input from any Live boffin...

You have definitely succeeded in keeping the arrangement interesting and kinetic! Re: Dr Funkenstein - Live Looping

I could totally hear N'dea Davenport bustin out some vocals on that track. I wish... :D I especially liked how you do drum breakdowns - could you explain what you were doing to achieve that? Efx, muting, ?, Sure. The short answer is the drums were low-passed down rather than volume faded. (once or ...

Re: Dr Funkenstein - Live Looping

Another guy, who needs a brain to midi hat… I've often thought about how much of a time saver having a brain-to-Midi converter would be... Maybe a new plug for Live 9? 8) That's not Dr. Funkenstein.
