Re: Should I go for a Macbook Pro?

short update: my DELL notebook was repaired yesterday so there is no need to buy a macbook pro at the moment. However, I will definitively swith to macosx and buy a macbook pro - as soon as they have quadcores inside. 8) In the meanwhile I use my girlfriends macbook in order to learn more about OSX....

Re: ot: what they say about hardware synths is true

Lads, I got a MiniMoog Voyager OS about 3 months ago and I have never experienced anything like it. I love it like a human child. Maybe not as many flashing lights as others but knobs galore. It Fucking Rocks. 8) +1 My next synth (and the only synth I will buy) will be the voyager RME. I sold all m...

Re: Should I go for a Macbook Pro?

@ hereschenes I have some Unix/Linux background and I am wondering what exactly happens if I install a programm by just drag & drop the .img file to the "applications" folder and what happens if I uninstall it by just deleting the installed folder from "applications". Is there any detailed informati...

Re: Should I go for a Macbook Pro?

Alright. I am almost convinced. ;-) My first hours with the mac of my girlfriend were pretty funny. I just thought much too complicated to get things working. I could not believe you install a program by just drag and drop to the "programs" folder. If you have worked on Windows for more than 15 year...

Re: Should I go for a Macbook Pro?

@ Alan I keep writing in english coz this is an english speaking forum. I hope, that's okay for you. Thanks again! "seit Jahren bewährte Plattform auf der Live im Bühnenbetrieb rennt ohne gross abzukacken" means: it crashed from time to time? ;-) I just ask because in my windows notebooks I always h...

Re: Should I go for a Macbook Pro?

I read the performance thread and the lenovo notebooks seem to be a bit faster than the macpro's. I can live with a performance difference of 10% (where the macbook pro's have 10% less power) because I bounce most of the things to audio clips to play them live. The most important criteria is stabili...

Should I go for a Macbook Pro?

Hi guys yesterday my 1,5 years old DELL XPS1330 notebook died (display keeps black) and I am thinking about to buy either a 15" / 17" MacBook Pro. I wanna use the Macbook Pro for: 1) using ableton live 8 on stage with AKAI APC40 and Native Instruments Audiocontrol 1 2) office / internet / software-d...

NI plugins still does not accept any keyboard inputs

Hi guys I updated my live 6 to live 8 suite. Don't tell me the NI bug is still there! If I open Kore 2 and try to type something in the search field, nothing happens. I have read something about an "options.txt" in order to workaround this bug but I am not willing to do any workarounds for this. In ...

How to set the notes in impulse

Hi there

I just bought ableton live 8 suite and I am wondering how to set up the notes for the samples in the impulse?

What I want to do is: set C1 for the kick, D1 for snare and so on.

How can I set the notes for the samples in impulse?
