Re: Warping video tutorial for Ableton 8
HA! I'm 34 and I barely smoke these days myself - however, your local would be instantly inundated with pot jokes if it were located in Saskatchewan - 420 is a very well know and distinctly loaded number here..... and the April 20 comment was because the date is - you guessed it - 4 / 20....

Re: Warping video tutorial for Ableton 8
yo 420 - you need to smoke less dope dude (happy April 20th BTW) - after seeing this tutorial, it is obviously far easier to warp in live 8 - you just need to adjust your brain a little - thanks for the great tutorial! (you are obviously a real live user, not some lame-o "education" video instructor...

Re: Live users and Maschine - an observation
Let's not forget the "new toy" excitement that always accompanies new gear lust purchases - I have often thought "If I only had that making music would be so much easier" - or course I have now come to realize that it is your brain that is the main groove machine - the toys are fun, but they do not ...

Re: O/T Billy Bob Thornton Being a Prick (Band Interview)
Well, I saw the interview and all I can say is that Billy Bob looked like a mentally unstable, bitchy, babyish diva, who exemplifies why people hate assholes = who cares if he doesn't want to talk about it, is he such a wimp that he cant engage without making the rules up himself ahead of time??? He...

Re: Live 8 pretty much useless for me.....
hmmm, I feel so out of it not knowing this after using live since ver 3, but can someone explain this increases backwards compatibility and how I install it into the new library (I never dealt with the live library much except for making my own chains of effects and saving the names there.....) BTW ...

Re: Live 8 pretty much useless for me.....

Re: Live 8 pretty much useless for me.....
Ya, I guess I'll have to dive in - really busy right now though, so not able to devote mush time to it yet - I also have extensive use of sends, which may be an issue....

Re: Live 8 stability on Mac and PC
uhhh, Tone Deft, I have a job recording and producing bands - I dont work for Ableton ( and dont have time in my very busy schedule for beta testing - I also have a 2 year old son) - I believe the money I spent on the update entitles me to Live 8 without any strings attached - I am not mad at them a...

Live 8 pretty much useless for me.....
Well, I had big hopes, but so far I have had no luck getting live to load my old sets - I have never had this problem with an update of Live before (and I have been doing this since ver 3) - almost every set I try to load (even simple ones with not many fx) crash before they even open - how's that f...

Re: Live as a profesional DAW
I use live to record and produce bands I record in my project studio - I do this full time, so I guess I am using it in a professional context - I tried to use logic, but it just sucked the life out of me - I still love the speed and simplicity with how many things are done in Live - basic things li...
