"Randomize" feature for midi data (from the edit menu)

Yo, One of my favourite things to do with rex files on Reason is to take the last few beats of slice midi data and randomize the slice order it until I have a nice turn around to use for loop variations....now that I am using Stylus RMX with Live it would be really great to be able to do this with t...

Yo,

My partner and I usually get paid about $350.00 Canadian (together not each) for a 1.5 hour Live set (for a moderate to large sized party).

Stylus RMX - ridiculous hog of cpu when used in live 4 (mac)

Yo, I feel two ways at once...excited about my new Stylus RMX purchase and dismayed about my crippling slowdown when trying to use the instrument in Live 4. Even with simple mutli's and kits (3 parts, no FX) my cpu hovers around 45-50% with only the Stylus RMX plug running (which means that everythi...

Yo, You don't really need to sync your two computers (it leads to more problems when you switch songs in Live). When my partner & I play live we mix back and forth between the computers like they were two turntables...just make sure that you bpm's are the same and mix on the downbeat in headphones.....

Yo,

I know our precious mac laptops are slower, but that, my friend, is ridiculous...unless of course you are using the built in LIVE midi instruments??? Otherwise for just audio and a few FX you should be down around 35%...(depending on your plug-ins)

Maniacal, rich, dumb and blinded by questionable religious beliefs. Bush is a grade A idiot who would take down the world to satisfy his ego...

I could be more thoughtful about my post but the plain truth is that Bush is a powerful & dangerous fool....

YO,

Thanks for the reply, but shouldn't the processor automatically kick into high gear when an intensive program is running? This must be the reason for the low score as I was at a resellers, but I thought that the energy saver was smarter than this....

Thanks

Why is new iMac G5 so slow with LIVE????

Yo, I ran the live performance test set on a new 17" 1.6 G5 iMac with 256 megs of RAM, and it was still using 71% of the CPU...seeing as how my ibook g4 933 with 640 megs of RAM runs it at 86%, how could this be??? Any insights why this much faster computer performs so crap???? Wondering, Orion Para...

Yo, I own the original 828 which I bought shortly after it was released, and have carried with me as I upgraded from my old imac to my new ibook G4. It works flawlessly on both os9 and osX and sounds great as well. Unless you need the virtual mixer capabilities and the multiple channel zero latency ...

Best way to use firewire harddrive and motu 828 with live???

Yo, Hello all. I have recently purchased a 160gig firewire 400/usb2 mercury elite harddrive from OWC (7200 rpm & 8meg cache). I am currently running a Motu 828 (the original one) THROUGH the mercury to access my ibooks only firewire 400 port. (my ibook is as follows - first generation ibook g4 933mh...

MicroKontrol - PADS TRANSMIT MIDI POORLY?

Yo, Do any microkontrol owners out there use the pads to trigger the scenes in Live? I am trying to do this, but the "note" messages seem sketchy and don't always work the first time i push the pad...this worked effortlessly on my Roland sp808 so why it isn't smooth on a midi contoller is beyond me....
