Re: I can't fix the missing media link, Help?

What are the proper extensions? The files were originally done in version 7? Maybe 4? The project's name has the SONG 1.3 but the sound files, that I've pointed directly to, are SONG 1.2. Should that matter?

Thank you. But that takes me to the same circus. I can't get it to work.

I can't fix the missing media link, Help?

I'm a long time user but still very much a newbie. But I don't want to be a newbie! I pulled up an old Ableton project. The sounds are missing. So I know where the sounds folder is. How do I fix this link? Nothing I've done seems to work. Under automatic search, I have the correct folder selected. S...

Re: Who uses Live with a live band? What tips can you give me?

Thank you! Sorry I missed this post! Do you use a trigger to time stretch tempo? You know, if the tempo varies or you WANT to change the tempo? How does that work exactly? Sorry, it's been a while. Can you just have a trigger off to the side and hit it until it locks into tempo, or do you have to ha...

Two basic questions from an OG - shifting time signatures

First basic question: This is terrible. I am hobbling back to Live. I used to kind of use it. I started with 4, then 7 then 9 and now 10. But I'm having problems remembering how to make things work properly. I hit the space bar and it just plays the scenes. I can't figure out how to get it to play i...

Thank you. I'm not as concerned about foot controllers. I have several already including the FAMC LF+12+ which is overkill for this. But it'd be interesting to see here what is most popular.

Who uses Live with a live band? What tips can you give me?

Ok. I keep trying to start using Live, try for awhile and give up. I’ve had it since 4, I think. Maybe earlier. I’m on 10 now. I only ever wanted it to be an addendum to use with my band. I’d be interested to hear from some of you out there who use it in this way. I’ve done exactly one gig with my b...

Thank you! I'd love nicer sounding time stretching! And 64 bit is important.

Re: I'm on 7 what advantages for Live 9

Let me just clarify - I'm not interested in plugins so much in terms of performance. Anything is possible, but Live is not and probably will not be my main DAW. I plan on porting over tracks done in DP, or maybe recorded directly into LIVE. But 95% of the time they will be real instruments. Guitars,...

I'm on 7 what advantages for Live 9

I haven't been using Live a lot. I'm launching a new band after my new CD is doing pretty well. I want to supplement the live band performance with LIve, again. I did it a few times. It's a lot of work, at least to initially set it up. But my real questions now are - I have Live 7. What are the main...

Re: Basic Live Questions regarding backwards compatibility

Simple. On my powerbook. The Live icon in the dock was pointing to a dead Live application. It opened right up in the Live 7 folder. I should have tried that first. But I haven't played anything with it yet on the powerbook. So this SHOULD solve the problem of saving to an earlier version.

Re: Basic Live Questions regarding backwards compatibility

Thanks guys. I wish there were a way to make it open an earlier version! But perhaps there's something else wrong if my powerbook won't open Live 7. This is good to know. I have created all my previous Live projects on the big Mac and will render or access from a small external drive. Big thanks! Op...
