Re: Anyone here getting the new KORG Electribe?

What would be the deal breaker for you guys?

I'm hoping it will have the ability to sample while playing back; Ext source as well as resampling.

Re: Aphex Twin -- Ableton Live

Yes I've seen a higher res shot of his max4Live devices.

There's a section on it marked 'K0 ffiB reAKe' under which there's a bunch of sliders with names like 'W.Licker' 'Early Works' '2004-2009' & 'Analog Glitch Bitch' right next to a button marked Rndmz.

I want.

Re: Ableton and Korg

True, having the ability to sample on the Volca would push the price up. I was just thinking how great a standalone unit it would be if it could sample in real time then manipulate it and sequence your sounds. TomV, I'm exactly the same. The more I read about the New Electribe Sampler the more impre...

Re: Ableton and Korg

I roll my eyes and face palm at the same time when a product is described as a "Sampler" with no way to input audio and actually make a new sample. That's false advertising; they should merely be called Sample Containers. There are hundreds of so called sampler plugins and max4live devices with the ...

Re: PUSH FORUM NOW CLOSED

True, I do agree that it makes no business sense to alienate your existing customers; but at the cost of hobbling your own progression? I wanted to be able to route audio to MIDI tracks before I even got my hands on Push, and I believe that this problem goes a lot deeper and to the foundations of Li...

Re: PUSH FORUM NOW CLOSED

The dilemma here is that Ableton are a company and someone behind closed doors will be crunching numbers. If they release to much in free updates to existing customers (for example a Sampling/Chopping workflow 'cos it's close to my heart) Then what will be their BIG reveal in 2-3 years time? I feel,...

Re: 3 person group, how to keep everyone involved?

This is my perspective. I was in a 3 person group (admittedly a long time ago now) when I was at art school. One of the friends had all the gear and we would end up round his all the time smashing about on his stuff and having a great laugh. There has to be a certain degree of that involved. It is a...

Re: Handheld recorder for sampling percussive noises

Nice one SubrThg, Let me know how you're getting on with it. I'm loving using this device to record, it's so idiot proof and the results I'm getting are just superb. btw, if I wanted to share field-recordings what would be the best way to host them? I've been doing some foley-type recordings, which ...

Re: Akai MPC Element for drum racks...?

There's also the new IK Multimedia "iRig Pads": http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigpads/ http://www.thomann.de/gb/ik_multimedia_irig_pads.htm Still the PK wins for me (although with the irig it's nice to have a 30 pin iPad connection). I just bought the iRig Pads and returned it the next day;...
