Re: Handheld recorder for sampling percussive noises

I just recently bought the Olympus LS-14 and couldn't be happier with it. It records a great crisp sound and if I connect it using USB to my iPad with the Camera Connection Kit I can record sounds directly into Samplr using the recorder's Microphones SWEET. http://www.olympus.co.uk/site/en/a/audio_s...

Re: Push with Maschine Studio

That's not really what I was asking. I want to create complex arrangements with sounds that traverse the grid-lines. Live is the environment that I have chosen to do this and would prefer to use Maschine as a supplement to that; not the other way around.

cheers

Re: Push with Maschine Studio

I'm curious, if you drag MIDI into Live will it bring in any automation you've made in Maschine?
If my memory serves me correctly I remember someone from 'that other thread' saying that it doesn't bring in automation. Would be tempted to get Maschine if it now does.

Re: "You're Dead" to me Flying Lotus!!!!

most of the time I'm feeling something akin to motion sickness after about 15-30 seconds of listening. Its really strange, I listen to a lot of different types of music and I've never had another artist generate that type of effect .. That'll be his trademark swing that he pushes right to the edge ...

Re: Replacing Push's little rubber feet? (UK)

Another alternative would be to remove ALL the feet and replace them with something else you can find in B&Q or Maplin etc. I'm thinking of doing the same. Mine haven't come loose and been lost but they have slipped a little from their original location. I was also thinking; Super Glue? I wouldn't l...

Re: What game are you playing now

If we're talking about Not playing Zombie games, you should definitely NOT play Left 4 Dead 2. I still occasionally dip my toes in that game; it is just so amazingly well balanced; with the clever AI Director and the special infected, everything is designed to split the players up. It's the ultimate...

Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

Edinburgh is a beautiful & vibrant city; I lived there for a number of years. However, a good music scene it has not. Glasgow has a much better music scene but it's a hard city, at least it was about 7 years ago. It has everything from your cheesiest guitar based singer songwriter thing to some real...

Re: Chapelier fou "Deltas" is out !

Have not heard your music before; I am now a fan. Love your sounds. *edit* Just noticed you have a track feat Matt Elliott on your SoundCloud page :o I used to love The Third Eye Foundation back in the day. Tracks like 'There's No End In Sight' had a huge influence on me. From what I've heard from y...

Re: THOSE PADS!

Just asked Ableton support about the Pads. They have not changed them at all throughout production so it may be your mind playing tricks on you if they 'feel' different.

I don't mind them as they are, but if the next generation Push had very slightly softer pads I'd be happier.

Re: THOSE PADS!

What really? Was this publicly announced? if not why not.. Ableton should win a prize for the least informative company around.
