Re: uhe Zebra VST Disappeared!!

Hi Thanks for the response. I think I've sussed it! Looks like Live default is pointing to my 'Automap' (Novation) folder not my main VST folder. The Automap versions are in User/Me/Library/audio/Plug-ins/VSTs The standard VST's are in Macintosh HD/Library/audio/Plugins/VSTs I've never changed the d...

Re: uhe Zebra VST Disappeared!!

Hi There,

It appears to be both!

However, I'm not great at navigating on my Mac. The VST Folder I'm looking in seems to be the Automap one!

I'm looking in 'Library/Audio/Plugins/VST'

Cheers

Re: My guitar pedal board

It's pretty straight forward. The Line 6 has it's own software that you set up once, telling it whether you want the pedals to be toggle/momentary, etc, and after that, just map the pedals to devices the same way you'd map any other MIDI controller. I just have the on/off switches for effects on th...

Line 6 FBV pedals could control Live devices

Any pointers on how to do this - could be the answer to my prayers :)

Re: How often do you change your workflow?

Hi There, Interesting to think about this... I do have certain patterns that I tend to follow. I do a lot of sketching in Live using the computer keyboard. This is mainly as I travel quite a bit and have limited space at home! I also use drum samples in Live as my drum programming always sounds mech...

Re: Is Linkedin now THE premier social network?

I've been on Linkedin for years. It is becoming more prominent as a business/social site and is definitely one of the first places recruitment agents look. I have been contacted several times by agents on there, and my ex was an Executive Head Hunter and Linkedin was always the first port of call. I...

Re: Should there be legislation against buggy releases?

Yep, I realise that's the way it's going, Even Logic had a few immediate (ish) updates. However, looking at the stuff that seems to be buggy in Bitwig it seems to be pretty extreme (a lot!!) and pretty basic i.e. it really should have been fixed before release! Just wondering how far this will go? M...

Re: Should there be legislation against buggy releases?

Hopefully all the bugs are just from the initial release and it only gets better otherwise I'd say the pricetag seems like the biggest bug. My point exactly - Should a company be 'liable' for releasing something that has so many significant bugs, that effectively it doesn't work! Agree about the pr...

Should there be legislation against buggy releases?

Hi There, I was quite excited about the release of Bitwig, after massively struggling with crashing and buggy versions of Live. I'm still keeping an eye on Bitwig developments as Live still frustrates the crap out of me. Anyway, my point is that Bitwig seems to have an absolute shed load of bugs tha...

@ wildcon - how about posing the set list when you get it sorted?

Re: Daft Punk style club tracks?

Hi All, Thanks for the tips :) I've been DJ'ing for many years and have a pretty wide selection, but it was really the request for modern day 'clubbing (i.e. Four to the Floor) Disco' that was an issue. However, I think I'm getting there. Actually a lot of my funk stuff, and the more vocally Chicago...

Daft Punk style club tracks?

Hi there, I've been asked to DJ at a birthday party with a 70's theme. There will be Dj's playing 70's dance music, but I've been asked to keep with the Disco type theme and to put a Daft Punk Disco style set together. I have some Disco/House stuff, but not a lot! Any tips on new (or old for that ma...

Re: The Bitwig evaluation thread

I think time will tell. I see a lot of very odd and emotional responses on this thread. It's like BW are some rival posse that are gonna come take our hoes or something 8O DAWs are complicated and learning them takes time. The test of a DAW is not in its features, but in how it integrates those fea...
