Using Absynth3 as an Insert Effect

Hi, I am trying to use Absynth3 as an insert effect to process a vocal track. I insert as any normal effect (there is a seperate 'effect' instance of Absynth in the plug in directory). The input from the vocal is showing in Absynth, but I get no output. Anyone know how to set this up. I presume the ...

Yep, I agree totally. Lack of a 'most recent files' pop down is frankly ridiculous. Also the right click menu (similar to Cubase) for maybe Zoom / Slice etc functions would be very welcome. My main gripe is lack of 'Marker' Tracks in the arrange window that let you move to a specific point eg 'choru...

Hi Robert, Thanks for posting on the forum. This interaction in my opinion is what sets Albeton appart from the other 'Bigger' companies out there. I havent tried Operator so I can't comment on the Synth. I like the idea of a synth operating within the Live environment and from the video it looks li...

Help with Soundcard / Audio input for Laptop

Hi Guys, Need a bit of advice, if you can help. I've just decided to go down the laptop route and will be going with a pretty high spec Centrino from Millemium music (See previous DJ laptop post) I will be using my Novation Remote audio (x-station) as my main controller /soundcard / audio input. How...

Thanks Elemental,

I've pretty much decided to go with them.

I've just got to sort out my soundcard / Audio input issue.

I will start a new post on this issue.

Cheers.

Elemental,

What model do you have ?

I've been checking out quite a few UK based specialist companies and was looking to get a CX05 (15.4 screen) model with pretty much the same spec as you have.

Have you had any issues with the laptop or the company.

I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks

Hi Guys, All very interesting and valid points. I was looking at a similar post on another website recently which went along the lines of - " I'm a trained classical musician, who has devoted his life to attaining a level of musicianship etc etc ..... and am now being put out of work by some guy com...

Thanks Beatword. That's a pain in the rear, but at least I hadn't got too far into using the Vsti's. I will import all the audio into Cubase for mixing anyway, as I much prefer to carry out the track mixing in Cubase (the navigation system in Live drives me nuts) and I'll just import the midi tracks...

No 'plug ins' when using Live in Rewire

Hi, My plug ins directory is my 'vst plugins' within my Cubase SX2 directory. I have no problem using this within live, but when Live is in Rewire mode as a slave to Cubase SX, the 'Plug in' directory is no longer available. So if I have any VSTi's running in Live they won't load into the project. I...

No sound with moving midi parts

Hi,

Is it possible to move a midi note (bar) to a different pitch in the piano roll editor and hear the note changing pitch as it is moved. I can do this within the Cubase midi editor, but don’t seem to be able to do it in Live (4.04)

Thanks.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the replies. Muting the track is an option I guess, as I dont have clip looped. So as long as I let one pass go by it would be okay. Serotinsteve - Sorry to be a bit thick, but could you explain how this would work. I've never quite understood the manual explanation for removing ...

Not recognising VSTi's

Hi, A recent Cubase SX2 update included 2 new soft synths that don't seem to have been picked up by Live (4.03). Also a lot of the plug in effects from Cubase don't show up. Actually thinking about it the A1 synth dosen't show up either. Is this normal or is this some sort of Steinberg compatibility...

If you're not interested in it, then don't read it.

I actually look forward to checking out this forum, and having spent
considerable time in a 'serious' music software forum, this is a breath of fresh air.

we're all here because we have Live. The occasional off topic post really is no big deal.
