new synth / vst for dance music
so any one seen of any new vst instruments that sound interesting
im looking for some good poly sounds, basslines, stabby hits etc, most synths seem to just have large
trance synth sounds and not much in the way of sustained poly synths you can use with chords,
and nice blips, stabs

Re: how about a nice thick bass kick?
Interesting I was told you shouldn't layer kicks as you can phase out the sound and end up with a less powerful kick than the 2 you started with I think waves alchemy have good stron kicks but I'm alsonstruggling to create my own little pool of eq'd kicks ready to use

Re: New Pc set up is Needed, barebones or Build youself ?
Hey thanks for the info, Yeah I think buying separate could be the best way And if it's faster then all the better, It's a shame the novatech website doesn't have a section Where you can choose your parts and the site makes sure all is comparable, I was always told to get an intel board to run with ...

Re: Melodyne help, getting vocals tight and in key
thank you and sorry for being foolish,
should melodyne actually detect what key the vocals are in, or is that for you to find out?
as i see you can snap to scale, but you would need to know the key of the track wouldn't you?

Melodyne help, getting vocals tight and in key
i have a nice vocal, and my mate recently bought melodyne, so i thought i would take the vocal round and check it out, it did tighten up the vocal and push the vocal in the middle of a note rather than it drifting between pitches, but the vocal is still out of key, the chords im using are based on D...
