Behringer BCR2000 and Windows 10 - no dice?

I wanted to dust off my old BCR again, but Windows only sees it as an "unknown USB device", and Behringer's driver installation app times out, because it doesn't detect the unit. Any ideas? The BCR has the latest firmware installed, and I've tried running the setup file in various compatibility mode...

Re: Annoying pitch

I think calling this "the pitchbend bug" is a bit of a misnomer, because I think it's working the way it's intended, but I also believe that to the vast majority of users, this behaviour is not desirable: if you want your pitch bent, you bend it. If you don't want your pitch bent, you don't bend it....

Re: Timing issue with FX unit that syncs to host?

No, I haven't really done anything differently with that track. I've unsuccessfully tried to replicate the issue in new sets, but so far, the only thing I can attribute it to is a high track count/workload.

Re: Ableton Live 10 - whats your favourite new features?

Yeah, MIDI only. I'd think a similar feature for audio would be very demanding on the system. There is a M4L device called Hindsight which kind of does that, but it does require quite a bit of resources, and it really is more like a beefed-up Looper.

Timing issue with FX unit that syncs to host?

I'm using Polyverse's Gatekeeper VST to create rhythmic effects, but I'm observing a weird behaviour, where if I start playback when the track the VST is actually on is in focus, the gating effect will be off beat, whereas if I select another track, it will be perfectly in sync. Also, if I move focu...

^^ I keep forgetting about the new step sequencer mode - it really is a great feature.

Re: Perhaps I may be the only one who didn't upgrade to 10?

Well, to sum it up quickly: + Multiple clip edit is handy, although a bit of a misnomer. It doesn't let you edit multiple clips simultaneously, it just lets you view multiple clips, which you can edit one by one. + Groups within groups is very nice, and exactly what it says on the tin. + The new dev...

Re: Perhaps I may be the only one who didn't upgrade to 10?

I was very happy when they first announced the new features, then cooled off a bit when I realised many of the new features are actually rather half-baked. But as I started working with the beta, something just kind of fell into place, and I preordered relatively quickly. I had a full track laid out...

How does this even happen. Is there a person searching the web for "how long ableton" so they have a place to post their abstract poem?

Re: Some ideas for color collections. What are yours?

I simply use the colour labels for quick access to my most used instruments and fx. Instead of clicking "VST" and "Fabfilter" and selecting Pro-Q2, I now just click "FX" (Blue) and Pro-Q2. Another advantage is that I've also got some go-to FX racks that I can now access from the same way as my favou...

Re: Ableton Live 10 - whats your favourite new features?

I really like the features that make me go "hey, yeah, I can totally do that now!" - particularly Capture and multiple clips editing. I also like Wavetable, Pedal and Drum Bus - I really didn't expect much from the new devices, but they are pretty great! In my experience, Live 10 has been nicer and ...

Re: Live 10 public beta

I don't want to clutter the beta forum with silly questions that make everyone else roll their eyes, so can someone please enlighten me on the whole HiDPI thing? What is the definition of HiDPI? Does it relate to pixel density or number of pixels? I couldn't really see a difference when I enabled it...

Re: Live 10 public beta

I think it's less wise to cancel the reduced upgrade price upon release, which is what is stated as of now, than to extend the reduced upgrade price to a few weeks after Live 10.0 is released. Absolutely agreed. Everybody loves a terrible analogy on a music forum, so you could compare it to sitting...

Re: My Best/Worst Purchases

Push (as per a previous poster, I am much more efficient using Live with mouse and keyboard). I can see that. Two of my friends have gone that way for different reasons. However, Push is not about being efficient, I think. It's more about that, what actually comes out when playing and twiddling is ...
