Is Live really that bad in sound quality compared to Logic, as Villalobos says in this interview?

Yes, and all Vsti's. Maybe you should start using external devices again. 8)

Re: Getting Live to be like MainStage

I don't have any ideas for how triggering patch changes would work in Live's GUI Using a clip, and triggering it, you can trigger patch changes. The problem imo here is each clip can contain only a single program change event. This means you have to ensure whenever you send a program change event t...

Re: Getting Live to be like MainStage

(1) Luddy - That's a really interesting idea... and I think I could set it up in a way that I wouldn't need to actually switch to Arrangement view during performances. I could use a little app or max patch or whatever that advanced Live to different song positions via SMPTE; these song positions co...

1. Do we have to use Racks for this?
2. Preset system for what? Only synthesizer program presets or also pattern selection presets, mute group presets, solo group presets?

Multichannel Midis from Vsti's are in Live available. So I am not sure why you started this topic. What is a "multi channel midi" for you?

Re: Live as a VST plugin!

Does not this exist already? I mean Phrazor! Phrazor, at least if you use it only for midi purposes has a much more powerful clip management structure than the built in clip structure in Live, see (1) below. So you can just load Phrazor Vsti into Live and use that for midi purposes only. So a "midi ...

Re: 2 Solutions to Make Live 8 Perfect for Live Use

Hi Gurulogic, did you do any YouTube demonstration of your ideas in the meantime. Or even just a system drawing using boxes and arrows among those might be already enough to describe which components you have in the overall system and which kind of information is flowing among the components midi-wi...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9

Does Live support now multiple midi ports for remote control? One example what I mean: If I have a pitch = 0 on midi channel = 1 on midi port = 1, then the same information pitch = 0 on midi channel = 1 on midi port = 2, could I assign them to do different things in Live? Right now it seems we are l...

It should work if you do the routing and monitoring settings correctly. You should send out also on the midi channel where your drumstation is listening to.

Re: Switching instruments using MIDI-controller

Recording, ok, but 1. what, 2. where, 3. how and 4. why? The more orthogonally/independently each components could be controlled the more powerful system you would have. But it is a complicated topic where you need to answer the above questions as precise as possible first. Then you can look for opt...

I see, but then just use it only in a non-live situation. Maybe we can try to do those changes without "unreliable" mouse clicks?

I know M4L can also save the world. :)

I use it to translate midi messages into keystrokes, so that autohotkeys can recognise them. You can do this also without Bomes Midi Translator, instead using only AutoHotkey with its midi input library. COSM, did you share your This is where the autohotkey script comes in handy..
