The perfect stand... but....

I finally found what I think would be the perfect live stand for me... the Studiospares A100 Keyboard Workstation . http://www.studiospares.com/content/ebiz/studiospares/invt/448490/448490__m.jpg However, the availability date keeps moving back - from the end of April, to mid May, to mid June... But...

Re: best USB Hub for APC 40, Machine, USB keyboard

D-Link DUB H7 Why is that? Better power, better throughput, or both? Or something else? I've got a couple of no-name hubs that I really like: 7-ports, stackable, LEDs at the front and all connections at the back. Just how I like 'em! But despite being powered, they sometimes seems to struggle with ...

Re: Any ableton Live users in London?

using ableton, talking ableton and drinking beer Hell, we'd be drinking Ableton if we could. Looking more likely that I will be able to make it now... By the way, King Cannibal is on Xfm with the inimitable Eddy Temple-Morris tonight: http://godsofwar.wordpress.com/2010/01/20/x-fms-the-re...

Re: External sound card sub £200 usb or firewire

What do you need?

How many outputs? How many inputs?
Turntable pre-amps? Mic pre-amps? Phantom power? Bus power? MIDI?
Is size an issue?
What PC/Mac will you be using?

Re: Launchpad lights incorrectly...

Sounds like it could be clashing CCs (or more likely MIDI notes). But I know that's not my problem as I disabled any other devices to double check.

Also my random lights don't seem to be caused by anything specific...

Re: Launchpad lights incorrectly...

Hmm, getting even more MIDI weirdness with the Launchpad... With the Launchpad in User mode, random pads are sometimes lit - even though I haven't done any learning (nor routed MIDI back to the Launchpad, as shown in the "LED feedback" video at http://www.novationmusic.com/answerbase/en/article.php?...

Launchpad lights incorrectly...

I've been getting some strange behaviour with the lights from the Launchpad (in Live 8.1.1 in XP). Sometimes, if I go to a Sends "page" and set all Send A values to maximum, I get the following... Re: SampleTank ignores Program Change in Live (but not Cubase)

Hmm... I replaced the instance of SampleTank and it seems OK now. Weird.

However, Live often stutters when the program changes, so doesn't look like I'll be using this after all.

Instead, it looks like I need to work out how to switch Part from a MIDI clip...

SampleTank ignores Program Change in Live (but not Cubase)

When I send a Program Change from Cubase SX 3 to SampleTank 2.5.2 (8104), SampleTank loads the relevant sample. However, when I send a Program Change from Live 8.0.9 to SampleTank, nothing happens. In both hosts... I have set up a Program Change map in SampleTank first. the "LED" for the relevant MI...

Re: Any ableton Live users in London?

i can't remember the name of the other guy i was talking to at the end (sorry! you had glasses on if that helps?) Hello. 8) Lastly, do I need to shave my head to be a part of this? ;) Yes. Anyway, like the ideas. I'm just starting to work on a live Live set with a LaunchPad in mind, but h...

Re: Any ableton Live users in London?

Yeah, it's a shame because it was a good night too. It's always interesting see how different people are using Ableton (and the Launchpad). Anway, good to catch up with the usual suspects and meet some new faces. Eliot, you need more gear. And a MIDI cable. Russ, I'll be listening to your ...

Re: Any ableton Live users in London?

Was good to meet some new folks, and catch up with some old folks. Enjoyed Eliot's impromptu acoustic set too. 8)

And after having a quick play with Martin's launchpad last night, I ordered mine today.

Re: Any ableton Live users in London?

I'll give him a shout as it's been a whie since I've spoken to him. But it seemed that anyone approaching Ableton regarding an "official" UK usergroup was directed to Martin (i.e. if Martin was involved it could be "official", but otherwise it wouldn't be...) Of course, I may have got the wrong end ...
