im not really interested in synthesis or creating sounds, just want a drum synth, out of the box, that I can get great sounds off (preferably presets), not based on samples.

thanks everyone for your advice, I have decided to focus on what I know, FM8, massive and Ableton. And maybe your right to focus on music rather than learning new instruments. Im having problems using autotune midi with live. Im not sure how to route the midi notes onto the audio vocal... any help would be greatly appreciated, or any links to step by step process would be even better!!
