If you're running a Windows OS
try EAC (Exact Audio Copy)... it makes sure there's no clicks etc by retrying problem spots on the disc (where it's dirty or slightly scratched etc)

InTime looks OK to me (if you got the cheddar)
If you have enough drum triggers (and cashflow  ) it looks like that InTime program is the shizzle. You can map a trigger for tap-tempo and another trigger to switch on and off the "tempo following" feature. So if the drummer wants to get freaky and doesn't want it to throw off the tracking, t...

maybe too simple?
master volume slider?
It obviously wouldn't help with the CPU cycles but it would allow you to kill the sound so you could concentrate on turning off the plugin(s) without screaming feedback in your ears!
ok, now you can go ahead and tell me i'm pointing out the super-obvious

System optimization - Windows XP ??
Hey, I was trying some tricks from www.musicxp.net and realized, maybe there are some Live-specific system tuning tricks... Anyone out there know of good things to try to up my CPU performance while running Live? I am getting sort of dissapointed with the number of tracks I can use without incurring...

I have the same problem with Skidder... It's a beautiful gater, the sync is excellent but I haven't found a way to make it "set-and-forget". I downloaded a Tweakbench plugin called cairo today that I am hoping will work but I haven't tried it yet.

MIDI clock send problem
ableton live has a problem with sending midi clock Yeah, I tried to slave my drum machine to Live and it works fine the first time you hit "Play" in Live, but if you hit "stop" then "play" again, the drum machine freaks out and stops responding, requiring me to turn it off and restart it. I thought...

InTime
Wow, if this program can really do what the MP3 demos seem to indicate, it pretty much erases what I thought was a permanent dichotomy between traditionally instrumented "electronic" bands (like Canada's The New Deal and California's Sound Tribe Sector Nine ) and the kind of live electronica that I'...

Check zzounds price
subject says it all... www.zzounds.com seems to be out of them for now but they go for $129 for the black and $139 for the blue. I too am looking for hella-cheap monitors but I'm holding out until I can afford something a little larger and with more wattage.I see no music-related profits coming my w...

Mastering is another story, but getting your song to disk is as easy as selecting a time range (drag across the entire song in the arranger window to select the measures that have music in them) and go to File --> Render to Disk Some people go another route and render individual tracks, and bring th...
