i'm hearing a ton of aliasing in the sound Really? I think it's one of the more alias-free soft synths I've come across. I just tested it using a pure sawtooth waveform against Fabfilter Twin, Analog, Zebra and Thor and it definitely has much less digital noise in the high frequencies (I played C5 ...

problem is a resume is fairly useless in the industry. if you really want to get a job in production the only real way is to find a studio (if there are any left), take a job making next to nothing (or indeed, nothing) running wires, setting up gear etc. after a year or two an assistant engineer wil...

Most of the stuff he creates is based on his field recordings. I'm sure with what he does he can use just about any sequencer. From the photos I've seen he's a PC guy so it's probably either Live or Cubase or maybe MOTU... not sure. He builds some interesting tracks... some of it is phenominal and ...

the mini is a great audio machine. it's small, quiet and has enough CPU for most. and it can actually use 3GB of RAM currently by installing two 2GB chips, you lose that extra GB though. the only bottlenecks in the system are the graphics (who cares) and the hard drive speed (easily swappable with a...

anyone have any idea what gear he uses now or in the past? pure curiosity, i've become a really huge fan over the past few years but it's not easy to find much info. once in a while i see him selling some old used piece of hardware off his site but it's never anything telling. and all the live video...

you can just use TextEdit that comes with OS X. just type something and choose Edit > Speech. if you want to save it out then i suggest using Automator, it has a text to audio file action that works great.

the voices in Tiger are shit but the new voice in Leopard is very, very good. sounds real.

What a lot of people responding are missing is the Radias' ability to layer similar to a groove box. I haven't seen or heard any of the other mentioned synths doing anything like that. The Nords, Viruses, Moogs, etc. are probably more flexible in what they do best. If you put 2 dudes on a street co...

what about the Blofeld? sounds amazing, looks tits, takes up very little space, integrates nicely into a puter setup when you need it to and is affordable. i'd go for Waldorf over Korg any old day of the week.
