Re: Default project question / minor gripe

massive. Stylus RMX. that's it. A couple of groups, all native devices. blank audio channels with names and colors.

no midi clips.

it looks like record is enabled on an audio track... might he be the culprit?

ill check later.

Default project question / minor gripe

Hey all, I have a live default template with a couple of different channels and a few vsts. Nothing complex. Everytime I open live and navigate away to load a different project, live asks: "Save changes to 'Untitled' before closing?" Irrelevant because I haven't made any changes to the default templ...

Re: Crash on Flatten

I don't know if this is still relevant for anyone, but I was experiencing this too and it was KILLING my workflow. A workaround: If you're freezing and flattening in arrange mode, make sure there are NO clips in session mode on the track your freezing. Then freeze. Then flatten. No crash. Another wo...

Re: Skinning Live: change 'frozen' tracks color?

Are you on Live 9? I've done a tutorial for that here: Live 9 skin editor You need Max for Live. Freeze tracks is colour 97, as you will see in that tutorial. If you're on Live 8 see the previous tutorial link at the top of the page. If you're on Live 9 but don't have Max for Live you're stuck, unf...

Skinning Live: change 'frozen' tracks color?

Hey all, I use frozen dummy tracks in arrangement view as visual dividers for track groups, as I find the empty grey that's all-over-Live kind of makes things blend together: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/51386401/Screenshot%202013-12-26%2023.01.06.png hopefully you can see what I'm talking ab...

Mapping Keyswitches with third party stuff

Kontakt 5 (and many earlier versions) use keyswitches that are hard-mapped into notes in the lower and higher registers. These keyswitches often trigger performance phrases, effects, or variously other properties of the instrument. This makes for cool sounds, but is horribly unintuitive for me to pl...

^ is there a way to do this quickly if you freeze and flatten in session view?

I'll often freeze and flatten all my midi tracks before going into arrangement view

Re: DRAG AND DROP RENDER...ALR clip files? self cont. alc files?

BTW, anyone reading this: it helped me greatly once I realize I could freeze and then flatten tracks in arrangement view, then alt+drag the flattened audio to copy it onto another track. Not quite the same as drag and drop render, but much faster than configuring i/o on two tracks and then pressing ...

Re: Loading template @ startup

so I'm loading 2 instances of guitar rig, and one instance of: fm8, massive, kontakt, reaktor, cyclop, trilian, dune, Zebra2. Also two resampling channels, and a SC channel for a kick drum. All the VSTs load init presets and are grouped by themselves; by default, all the groups are turned ...
