You wouldn't hear a difference anyway, so why bother? Just for the smoother looks?

Re: How to know you are ready to move a project to Arrangement?

There are some talented guys who skip session view and start right with the arrangement.

Take a look at Youtube (MrBill, Sadowick). And I've never seen Tom Cosm using the session view (at least the videos I watched) ;)

Some vidz on YT show the whole process from start to finish.

Re: Happy with Live 9?

they themselves announced live 9 64 bit is crap. if by "they themselves" you mean Ableton, can i get a link to that? if you mean anyone else, then i'll continue to use this one: http://forum.ableton.com Well, not really "crap", but if you read their FAQ on the topic, you get the idea that they are ...

Re: Alternative icons for Live

Dont try to change the .exe icon. Create a shortcut, then right click on it>properties>change icon and select the other one. I guess that does not change the icon which sits in my taskbar - because it is so small the font looks very ugly, and I dont't like this blue colour. Anyway, thanks for the h...

Re: Happy with Live 9?

I'd put it this way: I'm happy with 8 for a couple of years now, and I don't see a point in buying 9 unless for the sake of Push. I'd wish for a lot of small and minor things like more shortcuts, more colours, hiding groups, groups within groups, easy bouncing, HTML-formatted help - none of that hap...

Re: Alternative icons for Live

Well I'd love to get rid of all those new icons and switch back to the 8 ones, but I guess that's not possible with Windows. :( redirect short cuts to them, fixed. Redirect? Could you elaborate on that? I tried to get rid of that ugly blue square with the word inside, but that does not seem to work...

Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!

What is the point to index all those samples (around 2'500'000) ??? What is the point to HAVE all those samples? What's the point in asking such a stupid question? There's a program called "Everything" (Win) which finds every file on your HD in seconds (by name) wihtout indexing, if Live had...

Re: Live 9 - SSD and HDD install

People are paranoid with their SSDs these days. If they are so anxious about the wearing factor, then they should buy one and put it on a shelf.

Re: Live 9 - SSD and HDD install

I moved the decoding cache to the HDD to save some wear and tear on the SSD.
Well its 2013, no need to bother with this wear and tear myth any longer.

I have switched to ssd completely, and it speeds up my machine so fast that I could cry tears of joy every time...

Re: Session Drums? (Live 9 Suite)

I believe they only come on the DVDs. Ableton say the downloads = boxed content. What comes with the download version? A Live 9 installer to download from Your Account. A PDF manual included with your installer. The same included sounds as the boxed version available for download from Your Packs. I...

Re: Ableton Live 9. First Impressions??? what do you think?

Absolutely no buy for me atm, as I already own the Glue, a Conv Rev and a FF EQ, so basically there's nothing much left (do not need that Audio to Midi toys even if they might be fun).

When I go enought money (and time) to throw myself into Push, then maybe....
