I highly recommend Schaeffer/Frontpanel Express. Their software is a great "middle ground" that lets you build effective, good looking stuff without needing deep CAD knowledge.

I reckon it will do nicely. However, Dell XPS machines are primarily gaming machines and I am wondering if the OS is tweaked for gaming. How this affects working with audio specifically I do not know but it's something to consider should you experience any issues. nah, the gaming focus of the XPS s...

what's up with the CS32? aren't they discontinued and unsupported? do they play nice with Live? I don't know if the issue was resolved, but I hear that the device would crash (ie: go nuts) if you manipulated more than 1 parameter at once. That would it make kind of useless, thought. Haven't know ab...

Ableton workshop in NYC (Friday May 18, 8PM)

Hi everybody, Dennis DeSantis and I will be giving a short workshop on Ableton Live at Dubpsot in New York City. It's a nice little DJ/production school in lower Manhattan. We'll be chatting and demonstrating uses for Live in production and performance, and will be taking questions. The event runs f...
