Please could you do me a small favour and complete a really quick questionnaire about sugar consumption for my girlfriends course work.

Re: Audacity sound quality better than Ableton

There WILL be differences with any software. Your problem here has obviously been different mixes but if you want to compare properly, import a commercial track that you know well into each DAW, re-export them with no effects or dither, then you will have something fair to compare. The differences w...

Re: VST Tuner

You can use it as one in desperation, in the same way you can use a car inner tube as an aqualung. That does not mean it is a good replacement for the real thing. I use the one in Guitar rig. Not quite that extreme though is it... Its an accurate, instant visual representation of pitch. I tend to a...

Are you aware that spectrum has a Note read out? Better than any digital tuner out there.

Re: Browsing user samples

The answer is in the thread. Just store all your samples in the user library in the appropriate folder and they show up in the system. I always prefix with ! So they float to the top.

Re: Bitwig looks shit...

I've been a loyal Live user since version 3. And i've bought every single upgrade. Bitwig is refreshing and addresses a number of annoyances and limits I found with Live. I've been beta testing, and I can say I prefer it to Live now.... Well if that's the case, im intrigued. At least you've used th...

Re: Bitwig looks shit...

I don't know what it means to watch a lemming. My only experience with the creatures is organizing their demise on my amiga back in the day. If someone wants it, cool. The fact that it exists, cool (competition is healthy after all)... But to see live users raving about it on the Ableton forum when...

Re: Bitwig looks shit...

I'm really looking forward to bitwig being released actually. It's been built up so much it will be amusing to see all these idealistic bubbles burst. So you're saying your a lemming watcher? On a serious note, if someone wants bitwig.........more power to them. There is nothing wrong ...

Re: Bitwig looks shit...

They're even bringing out a native modular system ffs! Yes, a real one. Not some gene-splice hack-job like Ableton did with m4l. Am I the only one who's noticed that most of Live's "improvements" since 7 have been little more than license agreements with other companies? Here's a quick list: Collis...
