Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price

I own Suite 8 and I could totally live with upgrading to Live 9 "Standard", if it would retain Operator and Analog license, but apparently they would stop working if I "cross-upgrade" like that… I can't get my head around the idea that for the price of the "upgrade" I could buy Logic AND Bitwig, or...

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price

The pricing definitely seems like it's least friendly to people who are upgrading from Suite+M4L Kinda lame. One other possibility . There are users who have bought Live 8 and then just bought Operator or some other instrument seperately. Are these users going to have to upgrade to Live 9 and buy t...

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price

So I have Live 8 Suite boxed version in UK. My offer to upgrade to Live suite 9 is €249. My mate sitting next to me has Live 8 standard, and his upgrade route is €149 to live suite 8 with a free upgrade to live suite 9. Great for him, but may face is still sore from being kicked. Just downgrade and...

Re: Suite 9 now with M4L...

that's one thing i'm curious about... a live 8 owner can upgrade to live 9 for about $200 (from what people are saying on this forum), whereas i as a suite owner (and not even m4l), it says it's $299. however, there are two versions of suite 8, and only one of suite 9... the new upgrade is basicall...

Re: Suite 9 now with M4L...

it's saying the upgrade will 234$ for me... but I paid for Suite and M4L separately.. hope there will be a better upgrade price for owners of m4l... or alternatively a cross-grade to full Max/MSP should be heavily discounted for early adopters of m4l ... though I don't know if everyone will want th...

Re: 32 bit and 64 bit with an upcoming beta

You can get 32bit Plugins to work with JBridge (google that) - and it simply ports your 32bit plugins into 64bit version - most work, only a few have some issues (Like 1-2% of plugs have issues) Check the documentation for it carefully - it can get messy if you use it blind ;) Have you or anyone el...

Re: Screenshots of Live 9

I could go to the DUC and literally mention thousands of things Ableton does better than Pro Tools but it's not about that Correct, Live does so many things better than Protools in its own unique way. By all means improve Live with a better mix system and separate mixer window etc but it will never...

Re: Screenshots of Live 9

interesting....BUT for me an improved PDC will be the best "new" feature !!! Yeah. Let's talk about the REAL features. I love all the bells & whistles as much as the next man but I want the features that makes Pro Tools HD the industry standard - I'm all for workflow features being added, especiall...

Track predelay

When using a track pre delay it increases the latency by that amount of a live midi input when recording. Scenario : I have just predalayed a fast string run by 20 ms so that it sits with my session, now any overdubs I do via midi have this 20 ms latency !!! Surely this can be fixed.

Re: Volume automation question Arrange window

It could do with fixing, but you wanna use a draw tool on a large grid, that will sort it. Also a tip, to automate volume use Utility, then you still have volume free for mixing Wow tx for quick response. Please fix this, this is a pretty basic function for a DAW, Why would you not use the Volume f...

Volume automation question Arrange window

This really driving me nuts. Any help please. Say you have a track in Arrange with no volume automation . It has 3 separate audio sections/clips. You want to bring down the volume of clip 1 by 3 db. 1. I highlight the clip and position mouse cursor just above straight automation volume line 2. Drag ...
