True. "What did ableton totally not bother to put in Live 8?" would be more appropriate, but it sounds a bit aggressive. "forget" is much more polite.

Yeah, the lack of something so mundane as a tuner is kinda lame. Haven't found any useable free plug for osx, either. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/24993 twelve whole dollars. But that's not free. Also, though it's a moot point, it doesn't actually work in Live (7). Cocoa. Ah we...

Never watched a single episode but I just noticed on Xbox Live they have it all (including original series and stuff from 80's). Where to start? Do I need to watch the originals or just jump into the current series? Start with the 2003 mini-series. The '78 original is supposedly for the hardcore on...

Supposedly, they do have the agere chipset that has caused so much grief before, but maybe they (apple OR agere) have fixed it.

Generic midi controllers are nowhere near as fun to use as the front panel of any reasonably knobbly synth.

That being said, I don't think an operator controller would be profitable. I would probably buy one, though.

I'm guessing Live 8, too. Beta starting soonish after announcement, then final release a few months later. But who knows, maybe Ableton are just going to announce another cooperation that won't lead to anything tangible in years. Also hoping for a new Electribe. Ideally, 1 new electribe cover...

would be interesting if novation did bring out a pad controller, although I'm not sure I can see it happening - doesn't really fit with the direction of their recent development. yeh, I would have gotten 4 or something if it had lights... I guess this explains the black version ;) black version? yo...

Microphones (shure etc) and headphones (sennheiser etc) - most certainly. Guitars, too. Most other gear - unlikely.
