I had about 300 squid to spend on monitors (I was going to go for either the KRK RP8's or Adam A5's) but after getting some advice from this here forum I saved, I now have the money for a set of Adam A7's (it was between the A7's or Mackie HR624MK2), happy dayzzzzz!! :!:

Basically its all been said. If you find yourself straining your CPU then setting up reverb on a return track and sending a few sounds in your tune to that return will help ease CPU plus having the same reverb on certain elements will go towards helping the tune be more balanced.
