Re: Mixer. USB or Analogue?

My issue would be that you've got all those input channels and great routing features, but you only get a stereo sum of those channels into Live. If you're going to buy a mixer with a built-in interface, why not get something that allows you to send all the input channels into Live and really expan...

Mixer. USB or Analogue?

Hi all, I'm in need of new mixer. I need about 16+ channels. I have a mixture of mono synths, a couple of volcas and various sound sources. I was thinking about the Behringer XENYX X1832USB 18-Channel Mixer with USB Audio Interface. Mainly because it's in my price bracket. http://www.dv247.com/studi...

APC Mini Wont Respond

Hi all, I've been working on a track all afternoon and I thought I might try jamming with it out using the APC Mini. I bought it when I had a windows machine and it worked fine. I now have a mac so this is the first time I've connected the APC Mini to it. The lights come on but none of the buttons a...

Thanks! Much appreciated.

Both for the info and the link. It's a bit of mine field trying to find the right thread to read when searching with the word 'latency' as it crops up in so many different ways.

Re: Audio Latency - Ext Synth Recording to Audio. Always late.

No-one has any idea?

How do you guys send midi to external equipment and record the results in time? Can live not compensate for the audio latency in any way?

Really hope someone can help as it's driving me nuts.

Thanks.

Audio Latency - Ext Synth Recording to Audio. Always late.

Hi all, I've just bought a hardware synth which I'd like to trigger by clips from a midi channel and record the resulting audio on to another channel. So far simple enough. I've got an external instrument device on a midi channel, midi routed to my saffire 6 usb and audio in on channels 1+2. However...

Re: Connecting Bass Station 2 with Ableton

Hi, You probably need to go through the tutorials that come with live. It'll help you understand how it works. You don't mention if you have an audio interface? If the Bass Station is only transmitting midi over the usb connection (I don't own one), you will need an audio interface to get the sound ...

Re: El Capitan ruined my life (10.11.3)

I'm using El Capitan with a USB Saffire 6. No problems what so ever. Make sure you have the most up to date Safire 6 driver. The one that came out in December is the new one for El Capitan.

Re: focusrite saffire 6 usb 1.1 and mac - big issues

so, serge_a_storms, from what you say it should be possible to have el capitan installed & use the latest driver & everything will be fine. if that doesn't work, it seems i will have to return the computer!
all the best from berlin,
Uli

Re: focusrite saffire 6 usb 1.1 and mac - big issues

I've just moved over to a Mac from Windows and also use a Saffire 6 USB. My Mac came with El Capitan installed. Having no reference point with OSX I couldn't say if it's better or worse than earlier versions. However, there is a dedicated driver (for El Capitan) available for the Saffire 6 USB from ...

Nice cacophony at the end - so many voices, indeed :) Got any long, multi-song mixes online? Cheers, Thanks. No mixes of my own stuff but I do have a track EP available. Have listen at the link below. https://myblueextremes.bandcamp.com I also post mixes of music I like at; https://www.mixcloud.com...
