[OT] Alcoholism. Willing to share your problem?

I don't know if I'm an alcoholic or not but I suspect I am. I can go days without a drink but as soon as I have one, I want to see it through to it's 'natural' conclusion. Although sometimes I have a couple and then just stop. I'm also aware that I'm doing it. It's weird. Like I know it's wrong but ...

Re: Depeche Mode-Sounds of the Universe

The only one I can think of that doesn't suit his voice is 'little soul'. I personally think it would sound better with just Martin Gore singing it.

Mine is a character in a book called Florida Roadkill by Tim Dorsey. Always liked the character so I half inched the name. :D

I also posted this a while ago. It seems no one shares the same view as no one commented on it.

I agree with you though, it's such a great version. Simple backing and well delivered vocals.

Re: Got a Roland D-110 rackmount synth...

What do you want from it?

I don't mean this in a nasty way. I'm just asking.

Maybe Just learn to programme it. That what you have to do with every synth you buy, no?

Re: Got a Roland D-110 rackmount synth...

Man, I cut my teeth on one of these!

Can't help you on the editor but feel you should try and get a manual from Roland. It is possible to get some good sounds from it.

Work at it and it will start to deliver.

This line up is awesome!

Depeche headlining at Glatonbury (in the UK) would never happen!

Re: Depeche Mode-Sounds of the Universe

Peace has taken ages to get to me. I couldn't stand it when I first heard it. I was listening to the album on the train to work this morning and It really hit the spot.

My faves so far are

In Chains
Corrupt
Perfect
Wrong
Comeback (although I prefer the live studio version)

Re: Depeche Mode-Sounds of the Universe

Not their best but certainly not their worst! I agree in as much as it took a few listens for it to all fall in place.

Looking forward to seeing them live in May!

I'm also enjoying this live studio version of 'comeback' from the album.

Re: Vid for my Looper setup -acoustic guitar/vocal

@serge_a_storms: Thanks! The timberlake tune goes over really well everytime, across a pretty broad range of age groups and people, as long as you keep it fun. other covers i do: black crows, sublime, johnny cash, rihanna, outkast, maroon 5, jason mraz, kanye west, katy perry, pink, ben harper, 311...

Re: Vid for my Looper setup -acoustic guitar/vocal

Really enjoyed watching that mainly because it wasn't super nerdy. Just a good example of some simple quick on the fly loops used to good effect. I've no idea what you play out when you do play live, but I would imagine that an on the fly Justin Timberlake cover probably goes down pretty well no? Al...
