controling clip start/length

hi there i don't own m4l (yet), but i might now have a reason for this: i'd like to have a way to control the clip's start position and length. if any of you are familiar with Numerology, i'd like to mimick the feature that's available on the Launchpad, and that enables you to set a pattern to play ...

launchpad as standard midi controller (no control surface)

hi i'd like to know if it's possible to use the launchpad as a standard midi controller, ie only in user1 and 2 modes, and have the surface control disabled? that's because i don't need the surface control, i only use the pads as switches. i don't want the red rectangle on the screen to appear and w...

+1

it is a full audio way and it works fine (right?)
the other ways are more about data interface etc.

Re: maschine multiple tracks and instruments

maybe this has been answered somewhere else, but well... you know what the search engine is... anyway i manage to get several tracks with external instrument devices to play each group on maschine. there's one shortcoming though: i can't manage to play an instrument that sits on a pad (for instance...

is this possible?

i don't have m4l yet. can someone confirm that this is achievable: i'd like to have a clip playing a bass pattern, and have it "bypassed" as soon as i play a note on my keyboard. for instance i could have the midi instrument on track 1 with monitor set to "In" and the clip playing on track 2 with it...

Re: hardware device reflecting looper's state?

so you have 4 buttons right? play, record, overdub and stop?

would it be possible to have only 1 button, the big one, mapped to a single launchpad button that would change colour accordingly?
do you see what i mean?

i suddenly heard the sound of infinity. a music no man has ever heard before. the ULTIMATE SOUND.
after that, i'll never make a note again.

Re: and suddenly, time doesn't exist anymore... 0 BPM!!!

i would LOVE to see that happen on stage... I've always loved your slowdance sets though :) seriously.. could you try to drag all tracks into a new set and see if it helps? yeah, i'm about to create a new genre. it's not uptempo, not downtempo, it's NOTEMPO. :) i may have found the culprit. i had a...

Re: and suddenly, time doesn't exist anymore... 0 BPM!!!

weird.. hope you not lost any work? weird indeed. i didn't lose any work, although the bug is occuring again and again on this set (even without the sequencer running!). so i just can't work on it anymore (bug report sent, but i'll probably have to wait 3 month for it being fixed) the tempo field i...

just had that on 8.1.3 doing nothing in particular (just playing some samples of a drum rack).
maybe it's a new feature, i can't tell, we didn't get a changelog...
