I've played with one of these stands in the store.. I must admit i thought it would fold a little more flatter too.

mmm, stand+ plexiglass seems *workable* if not optimal. but how do i stop the plex-glass falling off? bolt it down? a keyboard stand does get a fair bit of bouncing around after all..

I'll also add that although a piece of plywood could help.. that's a bit of a hack.

I figure there must be a zillion laptop/ groovebox users out there, so there must be a decent (without hacking) solution. :)

what is that disco analogue tom-tom sine-wave type sound?

Hi all. I'm looking to create (or get a sample) of that classic tom-tom drum machine sound. My bassist has written a track which is very disco, jamiroquia sort of thing, and she's looking for that kind of sound (as well as lots of analogue-ish sounding sounds.. much like the original War of The Worl...

does this work on laptops that have only two prongs on the plug (rather than the usual 3)? combo of my powerbook and guitar makes a hum(subtle... but comes up when using distortions) when using a USB interface, but if i touch the powerbook the hum stops. The problem is that the hum is there even whe...

I agree - big problem

mmm a problem. The way Live handles tracks for me is currently a big problem. I gig regularly with live, using almost all of it's features... audio clips, software instruments i perform, realtime audio processing etc. So sometimes i am playing a keyboard sound, sometimes processing guitar through li...

the novations are great for customizationability ... setting up buttons to send a different MIDI signal on up from down.. etc etc. very useful with Live. Scenes are good too. the remote25 (midi only) draws a little too much usb power for the new powerbooks, so you need a powered hub/ batteries... ju...

though not a DJ, i perform 2-3 times a week with Live. Here are some general tips (some more general electro muso ones) 1. Bring power extension cables and power boards. sometimes a venue crappily only provides a single point miles away 2. Borrow/ buy a label machine(eg 'Brother' type) and label all...

freeze motherbitches. just wanted to say that gives me a laugh everytime i see it. and after a 5 second look, I'm guessing that site would be good for "I'lll overdub something.. now you overdub something" type thing" which is good for a producer/ singer/instrumentalist combo. I'm not sure how ...

oo oo, thats me :-) Musolomo seems to be working initially fine on my system.. doing some more testing. Running 10.4.2 and Live 5.01 Make sure you put it on an audio track..although Live now seems to let you put it on a MIDI track as well (this wont work) there was a circumstance where musolomo was ...
