How about thanking Ableton...?

Heya folks, Ive seen so many threads hounding Ableton with Live 4 questions since it's announcement. Not brown nosing, but having been a software developer, I know how little appreciation one gets .. (probably worked for assholes), but next time ya have a beer, shot, joint or <insert toxin here> say...

I have a Layla and an MBOX and I love em both, Layla works really awesome with ableton and if you can get an adat capable mixer, you can have 16 independent channels running out of the layla... :twisted: i also have it running via pcmcia and it works without a hitch on either my powerbook or my vaio...

Bidule is more like a host environment, you run VSTi's from within it. That means, if you use Bidule, you can use Fruity as a VSTi inside of Bidule. That being said, Bidule has rewire support and the latest FL has rewire support to, so you can run FL alongside Bidule as opposed to within. Energy XTE...

theres a vst plugin made by the energy people and you have to run it from within Energy XTE which allows you midi control, once you get this going it is a lot better than Bidule.

It has a sequencer and also has less resource impact.

sync pro tools machine to ableton machine help

I have managed to get ableton to recieve the sync data from pro tools and start playing 'in sync' with PT, however abletons midi clock is just all over the shop! It kee...

Hi Airdrawn, which version of ControlAid are you using? I have only tried on 10.3.2, and it works a treat. I had a major problem once where it kept crashing like yours, I removed it and did a search for ControlAid, removed any preferences files that it may have had. After that and switching midi por...

using ControlAid on PC

hey there, I dont know if anybody here uses ControlAid, but it's a OSX only utility, however I managed to get it working for my PC by using midipipe and routing the midi data from my mac to my pc via midi cable... i know this is only useful to people who have both platforms, but for me it was crucia...

offtopic, but I was reading that on Monday it's the 10th anniversary of Kurt Cobains death. Having grown up with bands like nirvana, pearl jam and soundgarden, I strictly consider that alternative, not so in your face sound (call it grunge, or what you will..) as the SEATTLE sound. the topic of your...

It's frustrating to see ideas dismissed so quickly. - Firstly, with EnergyXTE, you load the effect as a normal effect in Live. - Then from the website of the energyXTE software, there's a little plugin which you run from WITHIN Energy XTE and it allows you to choose which midi port to play VSTi's fr...
