Re: New Fox TV host Sara Palin

^^^ A better comparison is Air America and Fox News. It was the obvious career move on her part when she quit as governor. She's not capable of being president, but this way she'll get the attention she obviously wants. New prediction is she lasts about three years before fading into the woodwork. ...

Re: New Fox TV host Sara Palin

Fox is just as fake as the rest of the main stream media. riiiiighhht. If you can't tell the difference between FOX news and PBS news, then you need to put the crack pipe down. PBS is different from Fox because they tell you what you want to hear. Likewise Fox tells conservatives what they want to ...

Re: Pre-lineup for Apple iTablet haters

If they are that good, why is their entire campaign aimed at just attempting to make everything Microsoft does look bad? Why do skinny kids call fat kids names like "fat ass". Usually because they are fat asses. The advertising is effective, it targets the hordes of people that perceive, rightly or...

Re: it is time for ableton live 64-bit app...

Theyre just trying to keep their support costs down by specifying the platforms they will support.

Im not personally doing it, but there are quite a few people on here running it under 64 bit, and there are a couple of threads about their experiences.

Re: it is time for ableton live 64-bit app...

Since it's 10:45 PM in Germany, I doubt too much is happening with it. I dunno, maybe they keep musician hours. Since I bought the download version less than 90 minutes ago, and never completed a d/l, and never actually activated anything, I don't think it's unreasonable to request a refund. I don'...

Re: Live 8.1 Performance Tips on W7?

Holy Shit, just did a little digging on this, and Dell did actually lock out 32 bit OS from seeing more than 2gb in BIOS on the XPS600. Still, you could always put W7 64 on that bad boy, which will give you more RAM but wont help your CPU utilisation woes. Time for a new box then? I would go for qua...

Re: it is time for ableton live 64-bit app...

I just bought Live about 10 minutes ago. It never occurred to me that, in 20-freaking-10, a DAW wouldn't support 64-bit. Unbelievable. edit: I've emailed support about a refund, we'll see what they say. Thats too funny. Did you actually notice any real world problems with the 32 bit limitation whil...

Re: Live 8.1 Performance Tips on W7?

You might also want to look at getting a better interface, what buffer/sample setting can you run the Line6 at? Also,a 32 bit OS can see up to about 3.75Gb of RAM. They can only allocate 2gb to any single application, but the system as a whole can see nearly the whole 4gb depending on your video car...

Re: OT:Apple i-lemur'?

pfft. If this thing is priced at anything over $800 it's going to be another Newton. Nice. Functional. Ahead of it's time. And a complete failure. There is going to be a lot of competition this year in multi touch tablets. Im very interested in these things, and there is at least 4 decent ones that...

Re: Installing Live Packs

File Menu - Install Live Packs. Point it towards where the Live Pack is. This is one way, but then you have to install each of the ten packs one by one. If you just drag all the ten alp files from you file browser onto Ableton Live's window, all ten packs will be installed in one action. Is there a...

Re: Installing Live Packs

Is there any way to install the "ableten" live packs so that they appear in the browser in live? I've got them on my desk top and also in my "music library" but I can't find them or move them to live's browser? How do I do this? Thanks. File Menu - Install Live Packs. Re: intel i5 750 cpu good for ableton or i7?

I've just built a core i5 box. My understanding is the main difference between i5 and i7 is that i7 uses hyperthreading, which Live does not support at present. My system is running very smoothly with win7 64 bit. I only have my old athlon machine to compare it to though :) Could you run the ableto...
