Is it sort of like a lazy susan?

Re: Audio Help?
Ok so are you just plugging a quarter inch cable into one of the inputs? If so, double check your "Audio From" is coming from Ext In and the number below that correctly reflects the input channel you are using (1, 2, or 1/2). I'm guessing it's 1/2 but you only have the mic plugged into 1. https://cd...

Re: Audio Help?
What is your audio interface? What is different about your recording setup with your vocal microphone and your other microphones/inputs? Check your IO settings and panning settings.

Re: Using live onstage
Also I feel like it must be mentioned that you can drag in any live set straight from the browser instead of going through File >> Open Live Set >> etc.

Re: Is Ableton Live suitable for any kind of real work?
 And you would know that how ?! Or do you think only idiots get frustrated by crashes that make them lose all their work? OR MAYBE, you should use more than just the toy piano in Live, because I promise you, you WILL experience these sort of crashes on a pretty regular basis. Especially if yo...

Re: Is Ableton Live suitable for any kind of real work?
Honestly Ableton Live is only good for recording kazoo and xylophone solos. Actually, I think the toy piano sound pretty decent in C minor. Yes but this an advanced technique. I would have mentioned penny whistles and otamatones, but I have a feeling things of this nature would go over the OP's head.

Re: Is Ableton Live suitable for any kind of real work?
You should switch to Garageband for your real work; it's much more stable. Honestly Ableton Live is only good for recording kazoo and xylophone solos.

Re: Annoying Kick Click. Why?
Did you record the clip yourself with the same kick sample?
If not, from the waveform it looks like that's just how the loop is. Just loop the first kick/hat over and over and you're good.

Re: How do I loop closer?
Well you can set the loop brace in the clip itself to get maybe 1/16ths or so... otherwise you'll probably have to increase the tempo and slow down your audio/MIDI to loop smaller areas.

Re: How to record release envelope?
Yeah I really still have no idea what you're talking about haha.
It seems like using some combination of shortening the MIDI note in the clip, soloing the tracks you want to record, and resampling the audio coming out of the set should give you whatever desired effect you want, but I don't know.

Re: How to record release envelope?
Gonna need more details about your setup to determine exactly what you're trying to do. Are you in session or arrangement? What are you using automation for? If you are just trying to record the release trail into an audio clip, you can resample or freeze/flatten the track and the trails will be rec...

Re: How to record release envelope?
OK for VSTs you have to configure the parameters to be able to automate them in Live. On the Sylenth instrument in your device view, there's a little triangle to unfold device parameters (in between the device on/off and the little wrench icon). Click that triangle, and then activate "Configure". Pu...
