Re: Chromaphone2 - demo sounds amazing . . .

I have the original Chromophone and picked up the new version almost immediately. Was just browsing presets yesterday and there are many more of them...some are quite nice. There is also a built in arpeggiator and an fX page. All in all a pretty big upgrade and worth the price for the upgrade.

Re: your ideas, inspirations

To me the most open and vast space in the universe is the human mind. If I can free that up from all the chatter I will, on occasion, be amazed by what can come through. Even after 5 decades it never fails to amaze me that I can not pinpoint a source for this inspiration; it just seems to suddenly c...

Re: How do you approach recording bass gutiar without an amp?

I use the Avalon U5 also. For further effects I would turn to FabFilter Saturn. Don't have saturn but I guess I can use Trash 2. Do you use it to add saturation to higher frequencies? I just use it to add a little more satur[n]ation if I feel the DI is too dry. The Saturn is very versatile so it ge...

Re: Reverb template

My default template has a reverb send (NI's RC24) and a delay send (FabFilter's Timeless). I don't come at them with an idea that I have to use them or that they have to be there. I just find in most songs I always have a reverb and a delay; since these two are my favorites they get the call but the...

Re: Ableton live needs to handle multiple recording takes

I love working in Live but just about the only thing I can use it for functionally is sound design. The majority of my recording time needs to be in more conventional DAWs. This used to bother me. These days I'm okay with it...I just see it as different tools for different goals. It is hard for me t...

Re: Amp simulator recommendations

Scuffham S-Gear is the only one I will use when I'm looking for a guitar sim that is very sensitive to the players 'touch' (lot's of others use it for this reason also). I will also use FabFilter Saturn if I am just going for more of an effect type processing...it is an amazing plug. I have other si...

Re: Rewire

What do you mean? Are you trying to run Live along with another Rewire-capable application but not connected to each other? On my system Rewire is causing Maschine 2.4 VSTi to hang requiring me to kill Live. This also happened in StudioOne. In S1 I'm able to turn off the Rewire Service allowing me ...
