Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more

Yes, it's clearly visible on this image http://createdigitalmusic.com/files/2013/09/dualmonitor_arrangement_2b.jpg I'd embed it, but it's quite a large pic I did know this picture and you're right, one will be able to see the devices from a specific track on one view and the midi on the other. I di...

Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more

Dunno if they're just speculating or if that is indeed what they've been told or shown by Ableton. - Yes, it will. What you're actually doing is opening a second window, which is completely repositionable anywhere you want. For the demo, I just dragged it over to the second display and maximized it...

Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more

Angstrom are you sure that you can see the midi editor and the devices at the same time? I would love that too, but I have no evidence that this will be possible - or in other words that it will be possible to have just the midi editor on the second screen. It may really be session view on one scre...

Re: Push encoders sometime not working

I really though that with push and "IN" button, one could reach every parameters of an instrument or effect... What Lyovino means is that you cannot adjust any parameter that has been mapped to a macro (unless of course you adjust the macro), whether using the Push or the mouse. This is why they're...

Re: Delighted with Push!

I find the browser to be OK. Doesn't bother me one bit - I like the old school way of diving deeper and deeper into categories - and if you wanna use your own presets/racks, it's easy enough to SHIFT-buttondown to reach "PLACES" etc, where you'd place your grouped VSTs, custom instruments etc. shif...

Re: [POLL] Quality of PUSH

I'm constantly fawning over this unit, so i must seem like a total fanboy freak. But I cannot relate in a single post how brilliant Push is. It has shortcomings in some areas (which I hope will be remedied via updates/scripts etc), but the pros far outweigh the cons. Build-wise it exudes quality. Wh...

Re: Buggy Clip Start/End with PUSH

Make sure you have loop turned off on the clip display on Push, then you can edit the clip start and end parameters. thanks very much. Something simple, but very useful, learnt every day. Also - very strange that when in midi clip editing mode - there are 4 "slots" unused on the display. Surely the...

Re: Pulling the trigger on PUSH

Splendid! Push has replaced all my other controllers (APC40, Vestax pad one and a shitty KORG mickrokey midi keyboard). I don't touch them at all anymore. Nor my mouse or keyboard! I make more music than ever before, most of it crap, but the crap-to-not-bad-ratio is still the same, so that's great. ...

Re: Ableton vs Logic engine

It is well known that Logic Pro is better integrated with Mac OS than Live. There is a tiny little bit of space between the Live sound engine and the audio interface of Mac OS. And that causes additional echoes and resonances inside Live, which are not there for Logic Pro. The effect is even more p...

Re: why is so expensive?

[/quote]Its tough shit in your world but in the real world if you can't afford software its cracked and you can get it for free its "illegal" but its completely moral and commendable and it only becomes "tough shit" for the developer that refuses to make their software affordable to everyone. If you...

Re: why is so expensive?

It sucks if OP lives in a country with lower "living standards" than some of the richer western countries but that's just how the world works. Besides, Ableton Live doesn't really cost that much compared to a PC + Sound card + Monitors and all the other shit you need to even use the software anyway...

Re: A night with push

hi there, I have a lot of fun with push, but: to use LIVE in its most basic way, I think its absolutely needed to be able to browse and load audiofiles into clip slots. like: select empty pad/ browse to "places"/ select audio file/ load. cant get over it that its not implemented.... further big wis...

Re: Push Cover / Stand

http://www.ikea.com/it/it/catalog/products/60150176/ http://i41.tinypic.com/2zdywya.jpg How sturdy is this stand? Does the Push bounce when you are finger drumming, etc? I bought two for £3.50 each from Ikea, for APC40 and Push, and both fit perfectly. They are completely solid - zero bounciness. B...
