Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!

It seems very odd to me that a browser which inists on scanning everything can't even use that gathered data to recognise an .alc or a wav ... unless it's in a very specific folder. One named "clips" for example. So, Is this a database driven system, or a folder driven system? The mandatory scannin...

Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!

I was in L9 and had made some drum clips for later use, so decided to drag them into my library. So, I guess I just drag them onto the entry marked "Clips"? Uh, apparently no. I got the "no go" icon there. Weird. Cant save clips? So I open up the "user basement" where they allow us to keep our stuf...

Re: Easy to miss Push features

Citizen: Pretty easy. Hold Duplicate + Drum Rack pad then push another pad. If there's already something on the destination pad they will swap. p.s. Because789 don't add this one..yet I cannot seem to make this work, is it working for other people? Not working for me neither. I must be doing someth...

Re: Push - 4 days in

Tarekith, I know exactly what you're talking about - this piece of kit is well worth the purchase. "I’m laying awake at night thinking about new ways to use it, and excited to get in the studio and mess around with it some more. And this after more or less learning it inside and out, so now my time ...

Re: Why do I use Ableton Live ?

Entertaining article. I liked reading about your roots and how you got to where you are DAW-wise. I used to work with Fast Tracker as well, but before that it was ModTracker (remember that one? monochrome barebones interface). I'm extremely fond of Live too, and now with the Push, it's just exhilara...

USB electronic drumkit

I'm thinking of getting my partner an electronic drumkit so that we can jam together. It needs to plug in via USB and I need it to play my own samples. Basically something like a MIDI drumpad controller, except in drumkit form (she prefers the feel of playing on a drumkit as opposed to finger tappin...

Re: Push feature requests

@tedlogan great idea man. I would like a more thorough overhaul in how Push deals with selecting, copying, pasting etc.. Not just with clips in session view but also with drum rack slots. You can currently hold duplicate and hit a clip and it will duplicate it into a slot below. I would prefer to b...

Re: Push feature requests

I would love a function to move clips up or down within their respective tracks. For example, holding the track selection button would move all clips up, holding the button beneath it (mute/solo) would move all clips down, all in a scrolling fashion. Not to be confused with scrolling from scene to s...

Re: Easy to miss Push features

- hold Shift + Stop to stop all clips (Session mode) I must be doing something wrong. This does not work, implying that the "stop" button is the play button also (which it is in most contexts). I used this function a lot with the APC40 (stop all clips button). At present I'm still using the APC40 fo...

Re: Controlling effects on individual drum pads

It is possible to pan each drumpad individually. Here is how I do it (I hope this is what you meant): Select the drumrack track Press "Device" Press the pad of whichever drumpad you want to pan Press the Enter Arrow (pointing right to go deeper into the chain) twice Choose PtchMdfr (usually 4th ambe...

Re: Delighted with Push!

I just received my Push this Monday, and must chime in that I am also delighted, although a bit of an understatement. I'm almost ecstatic to work with Live in a totally different framework - I have very rarely looked at my pc monitor since I received it. The times I did was to do some synth/rack bui...

Re: Push Cover / Stand

http://www.ikea.com/it/it/catalog/products/60150176/ Great ! i use the exact same stands voor my push and desktop synth. The angle is perfect for use in the studio, it's also a very stable stand. I just picked this stand up tonight. It is perfect for the Push. Very stable and just the right angle f...

Re: SEAPUSH // seapunk color scheme for Push (v.9.0.5)

Push finally arrived today, and to my surprise, the LED inconsistency was not that bad. If I'm not mistaken, this is from the third batch. A few very slightly darker/pinker pads, but barely noticeable. I must say this was in a medium lit room in day time, so perhaps in a darker environment it would'...
