Re: 10 is announced!

Yes, Wavetable is mapped very cleverly for Push 2, especially how they solved using the modulation matrix. Probably the first synth where I actually enjoy creating new patches from Push. And the synth itself is pretty impressive. You can coax an almost infinite number of rich textures and sounds out...

Re: Live 10 public beta

I got my invitation very promptly after sending a super charming email, explaining that I was on holiday for a week and my time would ideally be spent playing around with the Beta (which was true). It could just be coincidence. I've just noticed that double-clicking a parameter in Live now resets it...

Re: Is it possible to automate parameters in clip view?

Yes, it's a pity that the warp-specific parameters can not be automated nor controlled from Push. I especially like playing around with the Envelope parameter of rhythmic and/or dynamic clips if you set the loop mode to the first choice in the drop-down menu.

Re: 10 is announced!

On Push 2, in audio clip mode, can you now control the various parameters for each Warp mode? For example, when in Beats mode you can tinker with Preserve , Loop Mode , and Transient Envelope to alter loops quite a bit; in Tones mode you have the Grain Size parameter instead; in Texture mode you als...

Re: Live 10 public beta

I queued and was sent the link to the beta in something like 15 minutes 8) I am envious. I have a whole week and a bit of time off, and would love to get my hands on it. No email yet, and still on this message on centrecode (I entered the queue last night): Thank you for joining the Live 10 Public ...

Re: 10 is announced!

Apologies if it's been stated and I missed it - but is MIDI polyphonic Expression supported in 10? Considering that Push is capable of this (I think), I sure hope so. Linnstrument/ Seaboard / Soundplane etc too... Answer: Live 10 does not have MPE yet. Ableton are keenly aware of how many people wa...

Re: 10 is announced!

It looks like a very nice upgrade. I'm certainly going to, just for the Push 2 updates alone. And the multitude of small but very welcome improvements too of course.

ahhhh hahaha. I missed this thread. My favourite. Here is Puffin, a Norwegian Forest Cat I guard, with him in a zen pose. The problem with these pics is that I cannot stop looking at them and laughing.

Re: Linnstrument, Push 3 in advance?

I also agree with your sentiments Lovelight - I very very rarely buy any gear. Almost never. This includes synths. I just buy what I need to accomplish what I want to do. I prefer to try and master a few things instead of spreading myself all over the place. But I like a more tactile experience with...

Re: Linnstrument, Push 3 in advance?

Real life impact for Live performers? None. There's no support for polyphonic aftertouch for example in native ableton devices. That said, you wouldn't necessarily need to map the every multidimensional aspect of this controller to use it with a synth, even if that synth had polyphonic aftertouch. ...

Re: Kittens/cats and your studio - how to deal with them.

You know they despise you right? They've had their brains scanned, and just like dogs they know exactly whose voice they're hearing when you call them, but they genuinely don't give a shit. ahaha yup. But i am the supplier of food. The sole one. They HAVE to pretend to love me. And I am f...

Re: Linnstrument, Push 3 in advance?

Been eyeing this and the Seaboard as well as Madrona Labs' Soundplane for a while. Eventually I will go down one of those roads. Have you had the opportunity to try these out hands-on? Nope I have not. But I reckon I will enjoy the experience, being a guitar player foremost. I am sometimes slightly...
