Re: Album of experimental music inspired by space

Working on a new album featuring my more experimental and weirder music but in the meantime I jammed around with pad sounds today:

You can get quite organic sounds from Live!

Re: MP3 export please!

Most gigging musos down here dont make money, sadly. Events and venues just wont pay them, but they're happy to let them play. My point was that in the event an artist isn't paid, then by definition that artist is not a professional. There's not wrong being an "amateur artist", but then there's no ...

Re: MP3 export please!

The soundcloud thing is an option, but I imagine any pro would soon run out of time on the account profile there. :? soundcloud.com/pro Its 75 quid a year. For the services on offer (and the spam you'll get) its not financially worth while imvho. Possibly better to use a free youtube account and pr...

Re: Noise cancellation

So. Played around yesterday, love the microbrute but its a noisy bugger (like the monotron). Once you start adding and mixing it gets worse, LOL! Tempted to get an EHX hum debugger and try that in-line

Re: Noise cancellation

Gating is fine, but I've seen a couple of other packages work in some basic noise cancellation plugins. Waves have also done this. Could be a valuable tool for those setting up packs too. At least Audacity has really nice noise cancellation, though not in real time. I'll have to look at that editor...

Re: 2 new tracks using an Elektron Analog Rytm and Massive.

All over USB using overbridge. Enjoy, feedback welcome. https://soundcloud.com/noe-clu/pink I like this one, but your high keyboards are way too loud. They'll sound even better pushed back a bit in the mix. I think you may have pressed the Limiter or Compressor too hard to as you're almost cracking...

Re: Beat Repeat should have a notch filter (or attack env)

I think there is a lot they could do with beatrepeat. The other filters have the MS and OS sounds, shame this hasn't happened with BR. Same with the pitch and decay being pretty limited. A couple of M4L devices cover what BR doesnt but it would be good to have more native for CPU load Oh and I suppo...

Loop adjusting via envelopes no longer works, then?

When did that change?

You know the Autechre/Aphex "bouncing ball" trick? Set everything up in simpler as I used to, set the parameters but nothing. Just plays the full sample. :?

Re: I need some constructive feedback

Well there are other labels. In fact there are two in Southampton here (not sure if they're taking submissions though - Field Recordings and Sotones). Its beneficial to spread your music about as you might get some feedback that becomes the tipping point to marketable success. Problem with places li...
