Re: Did we all get bumped out?

I connect via private VPN (always) and occasionally have problems with a few web sites (The Gear Page is notorious for this). I've never had an issue with this board, though.

Re: Six weeks

some of the pads are slightly different color temperature than others. Weird. I fixed that on mine with the tool they briefly made available. I'm not sure if it's back on the beta site, but there is definitely a way to tweak them to perfection. Thanks for the tip. I'll see if I can track that down.

Re: Six weeks

I tried Diablo 3's demo because I had a moment of idiocy. I don't play games but used to play Diablo 2 way back in 2000. After a certain amount of playing they hook you and you end up buying it like crack, and then you spend your days grinding like a junkie. I haven't played chess seriously for sev...

Re: Post your August 2014 track

A little funk piece I quickly threw together from loops. It is something of a jest, based on a comment (the comfort of an ultra-suede codpiece), made by a rather erudite and professorial friend of mine.

Re: Magic Mouse Glitch

I haven't had those issues with Live 9 and a Magic Mouse. On the other hand, whenever my Magic Trackpad batteries start to run low, the Magic Mouse will frequently disconnect. Charging the trackpad batteries resolves the situation. And people say Apple kit "just works."

Re: Some Love for Focusrite Saffire 40

Actually you're seeing only six mic/line combos at the back, counting on from the two mic/line/inst combos at the front, plus two through s/pdif, plus up to eight (depending on sample rate) from ADAT - you'll need to buy an ADAT converter to get the corresponding preamps and analog ins and outs, pl...

Re: Wanting komplete ultimate users opinion here

I have Komplete Ultimate, and my only complaint, if it can even be called that, is that there's so much depth and so many good sounds, samples, etc., that I feel like I can't get to them all. Killer guitars, EPs, great sounds in Absynth and Massive, and on and on...I love it. I'm in the same boat. ...

Re: Who is the electronic music listener?

I thought dope dealers made more money than 25-50k? There is generally a delta between actual gross income and reported income for those working in predominately cash businesses. Maybe the respondents to the poll were concerned that reporting actual numbers would somehow leak back to the IRS ...

I wonder what the reasoning was behind not ordering the education level in order of, well, level of education.

Feedback appreciated http://www.filedropper.com/firstsong Create a free SoundCloud or similar (there are others that may actually be better than SoundCloud but the names escape me at the moment...bandcamp?) account and post your song there. I associate free file-sharing sites with warez, malware, v...

May be useful for US situations only, but IANAL and don't even play one on TV. From reading through that page, the primary differentiating factor seems to be performance vs. duplication/sale.

Re: Fav Pinball Game

My favorite pinball table is Eight Ball Deluxe. Lots of time spent on that one. There was another one, sort of like Theater of Magic, but it had a miniature ventriloquist doll head on it. Can't remember e name of that one, though. Funhouse or something? How about Pin-bot or Xenon? Never really got o...
