Re: Sub bass issues

This is how I got my sub bass up to snuff: turned everything down and turned the bass up. When you mix your stuff in general you want everything quiet. Turn down your mix piece by piece until the master is touching -6 at the loudest peaks. Now turn up your computer volume or main volume wherever it ...

Re: I still loathe the "slicing" in live

Set warp markers, slice to midi. Adjust as needed in Sampler/Simpler. It really doesn't get any easier.

Re: How to manage the time between loading a liveset?

I wanted to try importing my other tracks into one Master track and see how long it took to load and if such a thing would be manageable. Nobody has tried making a big 'ol Frankenstein track complete with original midi tracks and what-not? This is kind of my 1st world gripe with Live right now. It i...

Re: Native Instruments new stems audio file format.

Yeah, I think this is a pretty dope idea. I'm interested to see if it takes off because it's not the sort of thing I would really expect to take off. I can understand not wanting to share your stems. Someone like me will just use it as source material! I quit djing a few years ago but something like...

puzzlefactory wrote:Just reached the chapter that talks about "Pitch Rotation", how do you do that in Live?
Open the midi clip in the clip view. Make sure all the tabs are unfolded. Poke around in there, you'll find some useful stuff.

Re: Making Music - the book

That's the oldest trick in the book bro! Actually there are a more than a couple old tricks in that book I haven't thought of since, like, the 90's. Still some useful stuff despite some of the very amateurish suggestions.

I would try contacting the guy directly. I think he or his company may have a facebook.

Re: Making Music - the book

Maybe a third of what I read in the preview I definitely didn't need a reminder of. The other 2/3 were at least a little bit helpful in giving me perspective on my own techniques and workflow so I think I will probably pick this up.

Re: Session View Push Discussion re: automation

Yeah, that shouldn't be happening. At least that's not the behavior I get when recording automation in clips. I'd be frustrated too but don't worry. It should be working as you intend it to.

Re: LIVE 9.2b1 Discuss....

This is a pretty dope update, really. Most of my major gripes are resolved now. I'd still like to see note auditioning in the step sequencer of Push. I mainly just use the step sequencer for step automation as it stands now. Doesn't bother me too much since I'm not really bothered by using a compute...

Thanks, Obtuse. All in all it sounds like I'm definitely going to purchase. Should keep me busy for a while longer while I avoid actually learning Max.

Re: Push & APC MKII Simultaneously

Is there really no way to do this currently? I was considering this setup myself. It seems pretty dumb that you wouldn't be able to accomplish this. Push as the instrument, APC as the clip launcher.

Re: Ableton Live 10

1. Another one here for a pop out midi editor. Would be so much nicer than the cramped up situation we've got going now. 2. Stability from day one or at least month six. 3. PDC, VST3 support. (That's the basic shit.) 4. Note auditioning in Push's step sequencer. Option for rotaries to be precise. (M...
