i do it the archaic way of just duplicating the track how many times of how many individual sounds on set and then silencing the ones on each track that are not necessary. very time consuming

i just did the same but due to a hard drive failure so i had a nightmare but had backup of my ableton files. if i would have had total back up of everything it would have went so smoothly. so you should not have the issues i had. all i can say is i am so happy and please with just how easy it was to...

so after hard drive meltdown have to reload ableton from web site onto new machine.
is it better to reload the version i was using or just download the newest update version 9.7 i believe
all my old files were made with the older version 9.2 i believe.

so i have to change computers and live in states and just like the doubled warranty of costco. they offer some dell's xps with 2TB HDD and 256 GB SSD with 32 GB RAM plan on adding another HDD for back ups. i know there are way better SSD's available but i don't have the bucks to go and build my own ...

sounds risky only because if i have to i will try a recovery place and don't want to do damage that would limit their chance of getting things off it. i take it the saran wrap is to keep moisture out of it. can it do any harm to the computer i stick it into? most of the files i wanna grab seem like ...
