Still..

It dont make any sense on any DAW that i know of, that incoming midi is blocked when you press RECORD while previously recorded midi data is being played on the currently armed track.
this has to be any oversight and if not very wrong for a real DAW workflow.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding you. Are you trying to overdub the same time you are recording the clip to the arrange? Exactly.. seems a simple enough task but it appears live has its own ideas about that which makes no sense. It appears to block midi data and we have the + OVERDUB icon which also ...

Thank for the reply.. I understand that the main record button on top is to record into the arrangement.. (this is exactly what i want to do) I dont want to record in to the clip. before i press this record butting midi data is flowing through live and works exactly as i expect it.. pressing arrange...

any one help with this or is it an issue
i dont seem to get any sound when i press session record and im recording midi clips
