Has anyone tried OSX 10.2.4 with Live 2.01 yet?

All:

Has anyone tried OSX 10.2.4 with Live 2.01 yet? If so, I'd be interested in your experience, especially with regard to any performance changes and stability with any audio harware you may be using (m-audio, motu, etc).

Thanks.

I am having the same problem with mda-Combo

Alex,

I am have the same problem with switching on and off mda-Combo with an automation event. Sometimes, when the plug-in is triggered to come on it creates a very loud buzzing noise. If I then click on the track to select it and manually turn on and off the plug-in, it works fine.

Thanks.

Finally got through to m-audio tech support

Finally got through to m-audio tech support, and apparently, the only way to use two delta cards in tandem on a Mac is to use them in OS9 using a beta multicard ASIO driver (go to the downloads page and click on show beta and previous drivers). Multicard use in OSX is not supported or possible at th...

M-Audio delta multicard support: ANYONE got this to work?

On every m-audio delta product page, they claim that their delta cards all support multi-card operation, leading me to believe that you could use two delta cards to achieve 16 or more channels of I/O. So now, I have two 8 channel Delta TDIF cards and a Tascam DM-24, is there any way in Live 2.0 to s...

Thanks for the info, 1 more question

Alex, Thanks! I didn't understand that the bus view was the place to unlink the stereo outputs, now I have the functionality I was looking for! Another question: I have two 8 channel Delta TDIF cards and a Tascam DM-24, is there any way in Live 2.0 to send 16 simultaneous outputs out of live to the ...

Live 2.0, M-audio delta, OSX 10.2 stereo inputs only!

Hello, I recently upgraded to Live 2.0 and seemingly lost the ability to select mono inputs from from my M-audio delta tdif card as live inputs. The only options I have in the live input drop down box are stereo pairs of channels 1-8. I still have Live 1.5.2 installed and with no config changes from...

I have a similar setup

I have a 500mhz iBook (640mb Ram) running 10.2.1, reason 2.0, and Live 1.5.2 with a Quattro. No issues at all, works really well as long as you stay within the performance capabilities of the machine.

Same experience

systek,

I have the same experience with Live and the DM-24 transport controls. Live does not seem to respond to the stop button. I also had this problem when trying to sync Live to my DA-38 machines, so I think its a bug in the MMC implementation in Live. I wonder if it will be fixed in 2.0?

Live will do this but need more information

Caleb,

Live will most certainly allow you to do this, I do it all the time. However, I can't tell from your post what exactly the problem you are having is. Post some details about what you are doing, and maybe I can give you some pointers.

What music are we making?

I am excited to see some of the new multitrack recording features in Live 2.0 because we have been using Live to record/loop live musicians for many months now. I have actually created a special website about the music we've been creating specifically with Live. You can check it out here: http://www...

No Cubase SX purchase in my future

I had planned to purchase Cubase SX by the end of the year to accomodate a band recording project (non-tempo synced) I have coming up. No more! I will use Live 2.0 for that project and maybe for everything else! Great job Ableton, I love this software.

Changing between sessions using a footpedal

RE: "'trigger a a a set of loops, in a row, all in one go with Midi, then yes... that is called a 'scene' they are the numbers on the right of the slots(boxes)". clips in session view vs arrange view

claudek,

essentially, when you record an arrangement using clips from the session view, live makes a virtual copy of the clips in the arrangement view. you'll notice that you can go into the arranger and adjust the loop points, pitch, etc. of a clip and the session clip is not affected.
