Re: Live's MIDI features are pathetic

Put a request in the wishlist forum. That forum is kind of slow, but they seem to respond to it, at least to a certain degree. Present them a good idea and I don't see why they wouldn't at least consider it. I agree in principle with what you're saying though. Live's interface is pretty weak, and t...

Re: What's a good place for an artist's website?

Tumblr is... An abomination... I think I will stay far far away from that site.

Re: What's a good place for an artist's website?

Yeah I have heard of Bandcamp. Also heard of Soundcloud, who hasn't by now, not really a fan of that site though.

Anyone here use Tumblr?

What's a good place for an artist's website?

I am aiming to do some self releases, and wanted to have a website to sort of act as a hub, for basic things like contact information and news, etc. I know nothing about coding, so yes a service that has pre-built stuff available is a must. I was also thinking of securing a domain name just for the ...

For clips: Select on Playback

Currently you can set clips to be selected on launch. This will display the clip in the detail view when manually launched. But what about when you have Follow Actions set up? I suggest adding a "Select on Playback" option for clips. Same idea as Select on Launch, but it wouldn't require a manual la...

Re: is Max for Live the wrong answer to the wrong question?

It's kind of a niche extension to Live, and building probably doesn't appeal to the majority of Live users. However, when one device gets built it is potentially available to all. Though yes a lot of the devices are niche too. I personally like the idea of it. Just wish it was a touch more user frie...

Live 10, your move.

Live interface is also vector based, since version 1
And yet somehow, it still sucks.

(hint: I wasn't referring to just the vector part)

Re: Any way to step edit across octaves???

The epic mystery continues... Setting up a midi effect seems to "solve" this issue. In other words notes can be entered and heard just fine this way, which makes me conclude it's a hardware issue of some sort. Beyond my understanding. :? Riveting stuff I know. I suppose there is a slim chance ...

Re: Any way to step edit across octaves???

Not just a Live problem either. Same thing happens in Logic Pro 9.

So uh, WTF.

I recently updated Yosemite to 10.10.3 so that might have something to do with it. Pretty sure it's not a hardware problem.

Pardon me for a second... FUCK!

Re: Any way to step edit across octaves???

Yeah, this has nothing to do with step editing, it's just the qwerty input that is a problem.

Brilliant.

Re: Any way to step edit across octaves???

I know that in the past I have experienced some PC laptops that had limits to combinations of letters I could hold on the keypad. And it was usually combinations of 3 or more that would result in others becoming unheld. Do you have an external qwerty to try? No, no external qwerty to try. No midi c...

Re: Any way to step edit across octaves???

Are you using qwerty or a midi controller input? QWERTY. Seems like any C with notes from the octave below it can be entered by step editing. Strange too, can't even enter C# and D with a note in the octave below it. I mean, won't even play the notes at all. :? Edit: Actually C# and D with any othe...

Re: Any way to step edit across octaves???

Hmmm, E3 and C4 don't work, but E3 and D4 work. :x

E2 and C3 don't work, but E2 and D3 work. :x :x

Wel, at least I'm picking up a pattern here. :|
