Re: Best small monitors...

A mate in our drawing office has been bigging up his Tapco S5 's too...

Reckons they had the edge on a set of KRK's when he tested them in store.

I can see the choices ramping up now.

decisions, decisions..... :?:

Re: Best small monitors...

+1 for Genelec... ps. Doesn't the bass guitar next to the monitor resonate a lot? I always put my guitars in the hallway when I'm mixing! And these are not even that close to my monitors... I normally 'ready' the space for serious mixing and write I there too so like to have everything close to han...

Re: Best small monitors...

I reckon budget of around £250-£300 for the pair if at all possible.

I notice that many of the high-end units are sold as single units...does this mean that each has its own power supply?

Idealy I'd like to keep the size about the same as the ms20's (239 mm x 154 mm x 187 mm).

Best small monitors...

I'm looking to up-grade to some decent active near field monitors (currently have a set of Behringer MS20's but I don't like to talk about it... ) My main problem is lack of physical space due to the shoe-box sized house I live in... Can anyone recommend some pukka compact monitors that would...
