Re: Live 9.5

Abes... Amazing work.... I've been having temper tantrums about 'Time Stretch / Pitch Shift in Simpler / Sampler' for 10+ Years. Glad it is finally done. I'm very happy with this release.

Re: Live 9.5

The new ARP and Simpler in slice mode is a pretty nice combination for really livening up some beats and things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr91KfEEDOE&feature=youtu.be Ooooh, very interesting.... I like. (also thanks for leaving the very end visible... I didn't know how to capture the screen ...

Re: "NOT RESPONDING" The software and the tech support

I almost never have problems with betas or releases.... But I swear I almost had to stop a session with a client today. Spent about an hour getting Live to Respond.... rest of my PC running full speed. On the plus side, Live did what it faithfully does.... SAVED ALL MY WORK! I love Live....

Re: I still loathe the "slicing" in live

and remember you can preview the slices with the curosr when it turns into a speaker icon at the top of the audio editor Just so I am understanding you correctly... Are you saying there is a way to preview sound from one warp marker to the next only??? I have been here many years and never heard of...

Re: Sending Submix to the drummer(almost there!)

Oh also you will need to set up on your audio card routing, which output will go to the drummer.... For instance on your Saffire mixer, go to routing and where it ask what should come out of Line Output 3/4 you could choose DAW-3 and DAW-4

Re: Sending Submix to the drummer(almost there!)

I don't have a band so I've never done anything like this. But from knowing some of the devices in Live, what I would do is... Add an 'External Audio Device' (from Audio Effects list). As soon as you do this you will hear that the track has cut out completely from the mix, Next right-click 'Group' j...

Re: Better sound in Pro Logic then Live without any plug-ins.. ?

By the way tvoismo, my comment was not directed at you. I'm usually late to all the 'sound quality' comparison threads... I've been wanting to get that off my chest for a minute! It seems a lot of people around here like to blame their equipment instead of learning to master the gear they have, free...

Re: Better sound in Pro Logic then Live without any plug-ins.. ?

2015!... I think every DAW made today (in every price range... even without plug-ins) will out perform what was used 20-plus years ago (when the biggest hits in history were made)... Even my $7 Caustic-3 app on my cell phone is better than what I had access to back in the days!.. Bottom line, ANYBOD...

Re: Midi E-Drum Sets with Live Suite... Setting up???

Oh lord... Looks like i will be spending more money on drum apps. Of course when the kit arrives I'll check it out first, I'm pretty sure the snare-rim on Alesis is actually a second midi note. The Hi-hat will probably be a major headache cause that's 5 sounds (pedal opening, closing, hit closed, hi...

Midi E-Drum Sets with Live Suite... Setting up???

Just ordered a Alesis DM7X Session drum kit to learn how to play drums. I'm sure most of the midi setup will be pretty standard, but I'm guessing Hi-Hat control pedal and Cymbal chokes control might be a little tricky. I have Suite with all the Session Packs installed. Anyone have any tips on settin...

Re: Push Update , live 9.2, is that it? After 2 years?

My 2 cents... As a person who is a big fan of Strays work, these features are not new to me.... BUT knowing usually less than half (probably closer to 1/4) of a products user base actually hangs out on the forums to learn the hacks (scripts)... Means possibly up to 75% of the Live user base is now a...

Re: I have Ableton Suite but now I heard iZotope Ozone/Alloy...

Is there any DAW forum where users answer this type question with “The built-in effects are SHIT! Go third party if you value your music!” Actually, kind of a serious question. 8O I would actually like to see someone who really KNOWS what they are doing, do a FX shoot-out too! I know My ears ...

Re: The Clyphx Tricks and Tips Thread

load specific devices at the press of a button instead of having to browse using some kind of display? As I mentioned in the other thread I am also a novice with ClyphX but here is the vid (at the time marker) showing this can be done... I also saw that Tom is saying this can be done on any control...

Re: NAMM 2015. Anything exciting?

I really wish there existed an interface dedicated specifically to 'loading instruments and fx within Ableton Live'...... I need to be able to hold one button, press another, and kabaam -Reverb-. Of topic, but if you have Push and have the PXT script then you have this functionality. I was using PX...

Re: NAMM 2015. Anything exciting?

Maybe I’m misunderstanding how it works, but as an example let’s say you want the volume to go from 0 to the 5th pad up over the course of 4 bars. You’re supposed to translate how hard you press a pad into that action? First: I would assume this is like a device mode where the 8 macros of a device ...
