System

I guess the "hiss" is not due to the cable but to your OS & Interface combination. What System and wich interface are you using? Because, i got the active Tannoy to and used them with several systems, cables and interfaces and with one combi i got some hiss noise. That was with win pc and a terretec...

MPK momentary on/ off switch fpr pads

I have exactly the same problem like audiovoid... and i did not find the answer in the manual. With the Kork PK its easy, couse the pads can send CC data. But the MPK Pads don´t do that. Please can anyone tell where the note on/ off with the same midi data function is to be found - like patch advise...

pro focusrite

I own the focusrite for playing live in a band context for recording for live electronics and i´m perfectly happy with it the dsp´s do a very good job for recording and bringing live instruments into the live situation also the easy and flexible routing helps me a lot e.g. i need the master out for ...

book vs pro

I agree, i have my macbook for nearly 2 years now. I´m happy with it. You´ll be just fine, even for live gigs, if you keep some simple things in mind: - you need a cover for transportation (i have a crumbler neopren whatever) - don´t put the macbook on the bare desk -> use something like a stand or ...

Hey there, i also don´t use any compression/ eq in may master bus, BUT, you may want to save your monitors by using a simple limiter like saturator (just the default, without any modifications). That really helps to avoid digital distortion, which not only sounds terrible, but can actually do damage...

hey mikemillinator 1. change the tempo in the mastertrack via envelope 2. don´t use the internal click, but use a midi track with impulse and just one sound in it- e.g. an hihat sound - and program the click by hand. This way you can change the metric puls from 4/4 to 3/4 at that point the band need...

though it seems strange to me.

First of all, i think there won´t be ONE "Big Thing" in music anymore. The music market isn´t that straight and strong as it was in former days. And then i agree to all those posts that say, LIVE music with "real" musicians will be important, if not crucial. BUT, a) electronic music CAN be LIVE musi...
