Re: a huge problem with the 'redux' effect

yess, seems like you ran into the same thing as i before. do you work in 44khz then export to 96 or 192khz? redux effect is relative to the sample rate so try export with the same samplerate settings

Re: can you confirm this please? (EQ8 related strange bug)

strange, indeed. turn off the high quality option and the effect's gone. so it might have to do something with the EQ8 HQ setting. my theory is: HQ mode outputs higher frequencies than the normal mode and this shaping you set actually pick those frequencies up. however it is a bug because when no pr...

Re: Do you have to have ableton suite to get operator?

The Suite price tricked me too. Buying Live, Operator, Drum machines is the same as buying the whole suite. So i thought why no to buy the suite maybe i find something interesting later in the package. The other stuff came with Suite is super silly to me and almost never used. This is OK i don't hav...

Re: Comparing frequencies - tutorial I made

i did not talk about the method but its purpose.
oscilloscope does not tell you pitch. spectrum analyzer does not tell you phases.
i did not want you to make feel need to explain away.
Mr D mentioned sidechaining by the way.

Re: Comparing frequencies - tutorial I made

this is just not pro.
smart use of eq and compressor (NOT sidechain) first.
plus advised to use synths having phase control and phase sync (like operator) for both the kick and the bassline. for this kind of tuning a spectrum is useless. oscilloscope is better.

Re: Are "breakdowns" 100% necessary in Electronic Music?

no.
i'm using them less and less. there are styles that doesnt "eat" breakdowns like dub techno and deep house also taking them gingerly.

Re: 8 bit 11khz? help on exporting in this fashion

is this a serious question?
redux set to 8 bit and downsample to the number that divides your sample rate to 11khz (in case 44 this is 4 i can tell you)
