well I just ran Istat on my MBP running a Live set going 50% CPU and the temperature reads 167-171. So looks like the temp thing is normal. However, my fans are only going about 1500rpms so you should check up on those fans, maybe?

well my MBP gets hot based on how hard I drive it. For me, it will still get hot if I use it for long enough even if I just run Live using no FW or external MIDI. I'll download Istat and see how things run the next few days if I have time. Have you tried using your Macbook without your stuff plugged...

well people still report hitting temps way over 160 when MB is under full load so i wouldn't be too worried. and don't the Macbooks have gel or something to protect them from heat? That along with your heat sensors working, which means your fans getting louder, you should be fine, yeah?

I had a problem like this. Don't remember if it was EXACTLY the same and i might have been on 6.0.5 and not 6.0.7, but by the time I was on 6.0.7 and had reinstalled Absynth, everything was working fine.

I have one of the older MBPs since May of 06 and it's normal to get hot. Never been a problem to me at all. I read a long time ago that Macs were always made to withstand high temperatures I just keep mine properly ventilated. I mean it should be fine unless you enjoy using your laptop on your naked...

I don't know exactly how to say this, but I would like to see Impulse act a lot more like a mix of Impulse/Sampler/Battery... I dunno. Maybe you can even keep Impulse simple the way it is now, and make a more complex pad based sampler? Kind of like how Sampler/Simpler coexist with each other? But ra...

Ha ha, I actually would like to do this too (control clips that aren't selected, MIDI Map to move loop starts for individual clips). Maybe you should put it on the feature wishlist if it hasn't been talked about already?

I think that Live's CPU bar only measures the amount of CPU being used by Live's audio engine. The task manager would be more accurate for the whole computer. But don't quote me on that. it's somewhere in the manual, maybe?
