I use iConnectMidi4+. It's a bit of a pain in Windows because I have to use ASIO4ALL to get the audio in, but once I have the audio recorded, I can switch back to my RME drivers while arranging/mixing.

It also functions as the MIDI brains of my entire studio.

First of all, you need to route the individual pads in your drum rack to its own audio track. Create a new audio track in Live, set the Audio From to your Drum Rack and it's pad. It really depends on how you want to play/sequence them from an audio perspective. If you want them all to play at once either an interface with enough inputs (don't forget you can usually expand some interfaces with ADAT to get more inputs) or a mixer with enough channels going into your interface....
