Re: Poor Audio Performance in Live with no CPU overload

What instruments are you running inside KK? A few instances of Monark or Absynth etc shouldn't be squashing your system, but if you're loading up orchestral Kontakt stuff with scripting etc, things will start to break up pretty quickly.

Re: External Instrument as Midi through Audio Interface??

Re: how to create a manual gate so hitting pad lets audio thru?

Easiest way is to map the pad to the track's Mute button (above Solo). You'll need to set the pad (you don't say which device) to send CC data, not NOTE data - so that it'll work as a momentary control ('on' while held). If your pads send notes, then you're stuck with toggle control (first press 'on...

Re: Ableton Link + Livelooping = fail

could be a bug – as you say, when tempo changes occur, auto-added warp markers makes sense.
but when 2 or more apps are Linked, markers are added even when no tempo alteration is made.
maybe Link has tiny tempo variations which are then picked up when recording..? worth reporting anyway.

This is what I would expect note chasing to do.
Live's note chase doesn't work with notes outside of the clip's boundaries.

Re: Chord Device Bug(?)

I've no idea if this is intentional but it's been this way for a long time. Chord chokes all notes when it receives a note that's the same as one of its Shift note dials. e.g. Add a Chord device and set one of its Shift dials to +5. Now hold C3 and play G2. As C3 and G2 are a 5th apart, the G2 will ...
